It’s my greatest pleasure to welcome you all to the Makassar Cardiovascular Update (MCVU) 2023. On
behalf of the organising committee, i would like to thank you all for your immense support and
participation until now.
This is the 21st MCVU event since its first beginning in 2002. Due to the continuing effects of
pandemic COVID-19, it has been held online as the previous year. This year, all symposiums will be
held fully offline.
Globalisation has drawn us to keep up with the latest updates in science ensuring the highest
standard of practice. Establishing medical professionals highly competent not only in technical skills
but also have the necessary soft skills in order to compete internationally. Being an inspiring
profession, practicing the art of medicine.
We would like to enforce knowledge, latest researches, early prevention strategies, that will help
with an implementable, objective and good legislation to ensure healthy hearts and hearty nation.

Case Reports Submission Guidelines
TITLE
The title should be concise and specific, containing no abbreviations.
The first letter of each word must be capitalized.
ABSTRACT
Cases must be submitted in English.
Abstract up to 350 words.
Do not include patient’s full name.
Abstracts have to be written using a structured form: Background, Case Presentation, Conclusion and
Keywords.
Number of keywords no more than 5.
CONTENT
Word count less than 5000 words
The Case Body consists of Introduction, Case Illustration, Discussion, References.
Introduction contains no more than four paragraphs. Without subtitle, explain the background of the
case report and the main problem.
Discussion contains the finding, management of patient and outcome.
References using Vancouver style
Tables and Figures maximum of five
Case Reports Submission Guidelines
PRESENTATION
Five selected cases will be presented at oral case presentation session.
Other cases will be presented in poster session.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE
The submission deadline for the MCVU 2023 is May 31st 2023
