Question 1 Answer

I believe that the Department of Education strictly adhere the equal


employment policy. Guidelines and Policies on Appointment and Promotion
are provided and this is strictly implemented among Schools District
Management. Example is in Application of Teacher I Position. All aspiring
Education graduate can apply in the position and there shall be no
discrimination based on the age, school, gender, civil status, income class,
paternity and political affiliations or other similar factors. A detailed guide is
presented like the Ranking Requirements that should be complied by the
applicant. Then, the District HRM announces the schedule for the three critical
processes you have to undergo as a teacher applicant which are the interview,
Demonstration and English Proficiency Test. All of these shows that the DepEd
adhere that the selection of its employees shall be based on their relative
qualifications and competence to perform the duties and responsibilities of the
position.

Question 2 Answer

Performance Management is important to ensure that teachers and School


Faculty focus work efforts towards achieving DepEd vision, mission and
values.In our School District, School Monitoring and visitation is conducted by
our District Supervisor. Right now with our current situation, every Tuesday
the School Heads with our District Supervisor Ma. Fe L. Brillantes, PhD is
conducting Staff Meeting for Feedbacking of Schools Distribution and
Retrieval of Modules and School Activities during this pandemic.

Lastly, Result-based Performance Management System ( RPMS) Tool is


implemented in school. At the beginning of the School Year, we were
reminded by our Principal Maám Felly S. Malones to comply this Portfolio at
the end of the school year. In the absence of face-to face classes, we conducted
our Class Observation via LAC which was participated by our co-teachers who
served as pupils. Feed-backing was done through Observation Rating Sheet.
We also worked on our Mode of Verification (MOVs) to prove that we teachers
have attained our objectives for the whole school year. Then, we use the
Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form( IPCRF) as an
assessment tool to rate our performance for this year’s accomplishment.

All of these performance management and appraisal strategies play a


vital role in the teaching learning evaluation. It has a direct and lasting effect
on individual teacher performance. Teachers will be more effective at raising
learners’ achievement and performance when we are being evaluated and even
more effective in the years after evaluation because we will be guided in the
improvement of our teaching- skills. Through this, we can also recognize and
reinforce our teaching excellence and help us to plan in service education
activities for the upcoming school year.

Question 3 Answer

Human Resource Management is a talent management .It seeks to


develops its organizations. They capitalize on the skills, knowledge, abilities,
and experience of their employees. In response, many organizations have
modernized their recruitment and professional development practices in order to
recruit, develop, and retain excellent employees. They attract quality talent
using strategic recruitment systems that engage top candidates through targeted
outreach and technology. They also develop selection processes that evaluate
candidates’ fit and expected performance on central job responsibilities. To
retain highly sought employees, effective organizations foster positive
workplace cultures, compensate their employees at competitive levels, and
create opportunities for professional growth to ensure that candidates thrive and
mature within the organization.

Question 5 Answer

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory proposes that individuals’ basic


needs must be satisfied before higher needs become motivating. These five
needs are Physiological needs, Safety, Love & Belonging ,  Esteem and Self-
Actualization. In teaching-learning process, this would suggest that before
learners can excel at full potential, we must ensure that their basic needs are
met. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs can serve as an important reminder to
teachers to support all the needs of the learners.

For example, we start with learners' physiological needs — food,


clothing and shelter because it is impossible to advance to higher needs if
learners are hungry, don’t have warm enough clothes, or have to sleep on the
street.The division of Iloilo apply this level of Maslow's hierarchy by offering
School-Based feeding programs by providing fresh milk and Nutribun to
ensure the basic nutrition needs of their students are being met. Through this,
we may able fulfil our learners’ need so that they will show their full ability
and eagerness for learning. Because the higher up in the hierarchy of needs a
learner is, the better the motivation and therefore will experience more
effective learning.
