1. Download OpenSCAD from https://openscad.org/downloads.

html and install on your


computer.
2. Launch OpenSCAD.
3. Make sure the Customizer pane is showing on the right side

4. If not, open the Customizer pane from the Window menu

5. Open the downloaded .scad file from File>Open File. The loaded file contents will be shown
in the Editor pane, with a model preview in the middle pane of the screen.
6. Click on the small triangles in the Customizer pane to see the parameters you can modify to
adjust the model.

7. Automatic Preview should be selected by default so any options changes should be


immediately reflected in the model preview.

If not, you can use Design>Preview (or F5) to refresh the preview after making changes.
8. When you’re happy with the way the preview looks, use Design>Render (or F6) to turn it
into a printable model. This process may take a while, so be patient.

9. Export the model as an .stl file from File>Export>Export as STL… (or F7) and save it to your
disk.

10. From here on, just follow your usual workflow of slicing and printing the .stl file.
