Good friends and big dreams for George and Lennie.

They are trekking around

the trails of California, trying to fulfill their biggest dream; not having to go
through as many hardships as they are now. Just leaving the Salinas River, George
and Lennie are looking for a job to buy their own land and live off the “fatta’ the
land” as Lennie says, but when something unexpected happens, things don’t roll
out the way they planned. Bad things happen. I liked this book because it shows a
perfect life lesson, even though its graphic nature. For some people, no matter
how hard they try, then fall on hard times. I would recommend this book only to
people who are not sensitive to reading about sadness. This story had many sad
parts and not a happy ending.
