Subject: Application for remission of fine

Respected Madam,

With respect I beg to say that I’m piyali gupta inmate of your women’s hostel Kurla
(E) and I have been fined for late submission of fee (room rent) for the month of June 2021 which
was to be submitted by 10th July 2021 , I wish to bring it to light that I haven’t been living in the
hostel since march last year due to the pandemic so I was unaware of the recent changes like the
increase in per day fine amount but most importantly the bank merger that took place leading to the
change in bank details i.e. the IFSC code which is important for the NEFT transfer and I was not
informed about it by anyone till 14th of July which is the date I was finally able to submit the fees ,I
tried transferring the money multiple before but the NEFT kept getting rejected and delayed due to
the IFSC code error and a double bank holiday and hence I beg for you to consider remission my fine
this time , now that I know the changes will surely be kept in mind next time .

I will be extremely grateful if could please look into the matter.
