Heroes RPG Unofficial Canon
Project Creative Team (whew...
that’s a lot of words in our title!).
Selected by Bryan Gibbs, we have
assembled the latest and greatest
information about the Nova Corps,
it’s members, and a few of its
enemies.

HISTORY:
The Nova Corps was originally
created as the planet Xandar’s super-
powered militia, along with the energy-
absorbing Syfon warriors. Originally
composed of 500 Xandarians led by a
Nova Prime, both past and present
Nova Centurions were imbued with the
Nova Force by the Living Computers of
Xandar (aka the Worldmind), granting
them flight, enhanced strength, and a
connection to the Worldmind itself
whenever they needed information to
accomplish their missions. More
experienced members can use the
Nova Force to fire energy blasts, emit
electromagnetic static bursts, and open
stargates, among other feats. The
Corps uniform protects the wearer from
rigors of space and intense heat, as well
as providing six hours of breathable air.
The Worldmind contains all the
knowledge, art and culture of Xandar,
along with the minds of deceased
Xandarians and Nova Corps members,
and is the political and spiritual leader of
Xandar and the Corps, as well as its
main power source. When the
Luphomoid warrior Zorr attacked
Xandar in a quest to replace his race’s
destroyed home-world, his planetary
energy-draining equipment destroyed
Xandar. Unaware that four large
fragments had survived to be
interconnected as the new Xandar
Cluster, badly injured Nova Centurion
NOVA CORPS
Rhomann Dey pursued Zorr to Earth.
Unable to face Zorr himself, Dey
transferred his powers and uniform to
teenager Richard Rider, who stopped
Zorr’s rampage long enough for the
dying Dey to disintegrate Zorr. Calling
himself Nova, Rider fought many foes
before the enigmatic immortal Sphinx
(Anath-Na Mut) manipulated him into
flying Dey’s starship to Xandar, taking
along amnesiac Xandarian Syfon
warrior Powerhouse (Rieg Davan),
heroes Crimebuster (Frank Moore) and
Xandar
Comet (Harris Moore), and super-
criminal stowaway Diamondhead (Arch
Dyker). Upon reaching Xandar, the
Sphinx tapped into the Living
Computers to make himself even more
powerful than before. While the
Fantastic Four stopped the Sphinx,
Nova and his shipmates banded
together with Nova Prime (Tanak Valt)
and the Protector (Thoran Rul,
caretaker and later avatar of the
Worldmind) as Xandar’s Champions to
fight an ongoing war against the
invading Skrulls alongside the rest of the
Nova Corps. Xandar eventually won the
war with the Spaceknight Rom’s aid,
though not before Diamondhead
betrayed the team, causing Xandar Cluster
Crimebuster’s death. Since the
Xandarians believed all available Nova
Force power was needed for their
world’s continued defense, a war-weary
Richard Rider allowed the power to be
stripped from him before being sent
back to Earth.
Zorr’s daughter, the space pirate
Nebula, destroyed Xandar to avenge
her father, seemingly annihilating the
population and leaving Xandar a lifeless
husk. Most of the Nova Force was
transferred to the only known surviving
Nova Centurion, Garthan Saal, making
him Super-Nova, while Xandar’s spirit
and a portion of the Nova power was
hidden inside Rider. Instead of Xandar – Post-Annihilation
recreating the Corps as intended, Saal
went mad and began seeking revenge
on Nebula, eventually tracking someone Rider’s reawakened powers activated a
he believed was her (actually the future fail-safe in the dormant Worldmind,
Terminatrix, Ravonna, impersonating which cloned Xandar’s Queen, Adora.
Nebula) into the time stream itself. Learning that the entire Nova power was
still needed to fully restore Xandar and

learned that Rider had accessed the the Worldmind, Saal kidnapped Rider
Nova Force again as Nova. Enraged, and returned to Xandar to use their
Saal drained Nova’s powers before combined powers to finish the job;
however, Rider instead absorbed the
leaving Earth, with Rider and his allies
(the super-team New Warriors, and the Nova power while Saal fell comatose,
world-devouring Galactus’ former driving Rider mad in turn, until Adora
Heralds Firelord and Air-Walker) in hot convinced him to return the Nova Force
to Xandar, restoring both it and and
pursuit. Unknown to them, both, Saal’s
return to the Earth dimension and Worldmind. As a reward Adora made

Nu-Xandar… aka Ego, the Living Planet
Rider the First Centurion Prime of
Xandar’s newly renamed Starcorp,
making him the Terran sector’s official
protector. Xandar became a refuge
world for other races who had also lost
their homeworlds, even past enemies of
Xandar, and the new Starcorp members
were chosen from among them.
Starcorp also became a more proactive
interstellar police force in addition to
serving as Xandar’s militia. At Shi’ar
Majestrix Lilandra’s request, Adora
tested the Nova Force’s chosen
recipients to ensure they were worthy of
it, using Shi’ar Imperial Guardsman
Gladiator as one of Rider’s testers.
When Zorr’s brother Kraa began killing
Starcorp members to avenge Zorr’s
death, Adora ordered Rider to return to
Xandar to help stop him, but Rider, in
the middle of battling the Consortium’s
Deathstorm weapon on Earth, refused.
Starcorps Muraitak and Grot forcibly
retrieved Rider, and he joined the battle
against Kraa and finally defeated him.
Apparently pressured by Shi’ar
representatives, Adora stripped Rider of
his rank and powers, made Saal his
Terran sector replacement, and had
Saal unknowingly place spy satellites
around Earth so they could monitor it.
Later learning of the spying, Saal felt he
had betrayed the world he was
protecting and cut the connections, then
aided the New Warriors in saving
Earth’s superhumans from the vengeful
Dire Wraith Queen, Volx. Saal was
mortally wounded but managed to
transfer his Nova powers to Rider and
inform him of Xandar’s actions before
dying.

Eventually clearing his name, Rider
rejoined the Corps (again calling itself
the Nova Corps), though at a somewhat
lower rank than what he held before.
Over the next few years, Nova Corps
rebuilt their n umbers well into the
thoursands, taking on yet more
interstellar policing duties without undue
resistance from local planetary
governments. When Negative Zone
ruler Annihi lus invaded the positive-
matter universe, the Corps gathered all
available members to deal with the
crisis, but Annihilus’ forces destroyed
Xandar before they could act, leaving
Rider as the Corps’ only known survivor.
The Worldmind, in order to save itself
and the possibility of rebuilding Xandar
one day, down-loaded itself and the
entire Nova Force into Rider’s body; with
Rider now effectively the Nova Prime,
the Force modified his uniform, so Rider
could wield the massive power without
immediately becoming insane as he and
Saal had years ago. With the Worldmind
acting as tactical advisor and early
warning system, Nova soon became the
leader of the United Front military
alliance, destroying Annihilus and
driving his army back to the Negative
Zone with the aid of Peter Quill (Star-
Lord), the Kree/Titanian hybrid Phyla-
Vell and others.
After the war’s end, Nova tried to
single-handedly fulfill all the various law
enforcement duties the entire Corps
once performed, but soon found it was
an impossible task. Before he could
recruit new Corps members, the techno-
organic Phalanx, controlled by the
Terran robot Ultron, took over the Kree
Empire, their transmode virus turning
many therein into more Phalax or the
elite Select, and placing a seemingly
impenetrable barrier around their new
dominion by shunting it out of phase with
the rest of the universe. Trying to breach
the barrier to warn other races of the
Phalanx threat, Nova and the
Worldmind were almost destroyed. The
severely wounded Nova crash-landed
on the Kree fringeworld Drez-Lar, where
the Worldmind made Ko-Rel, leader of a
stranded platoon of Kree soldiers, into a
Nova Centurion (Nova 0001) to protect
the recovering Nova Prime.
Unfortunately, the Phalanx arrived and
slaughtered the platoon while Select
assassin Gamora infected Nova with the
transmode virus, endangering the
Worldmind in the process. Under the
Worldmind’s orders Ko-Rel tried to kill
Nova but was slain by Gamora instead.
Rider served the Phalanx as a select for

a few days until the Worldmind
contained the virus long enough to allow
Rider to break Phalanx control and
escape through the barrier. They
eventually located Kvch, lost homeworld
of the Technarchs, whose race has
spawned the Phalanx, hoping to find a
means of defeating the Phalanx there.
Instead they found the Technarch
Warlock and his ward Tyro, who helped
defeat Ultron and the Phalanx, then later
cleansed all surviving victims of the
techno-virus.
The strain of preventing the Nova
Force from driving Rider insane,
exacerbated by its experiences since
Xandar fell and its earlier failure to
protect its own sanity from their shared
bond, slowly drove the Worldmind mad.
Deciding that the disobedient Rider was
not going to help it rebuild the Corps fast
enough to suit it, the Worldmind began
to secretly recruit and train new Corps
members while Rider slept, and also
began to take over the body of Ego, the
Living Planet to transform it into Nu-
Xandar; however Ego preyed on the
Worldmind’s instability and began
merging their minds to gain access to
the Nova Fore and Xandar’s legacy of
knowledge. A part of the Worldmind
refused the merger, using the
personalities of Rhomann Dey and Ko-
Rel to protect itself. When Rider tried to
stop the sociopathic psionic entity
Harrow from slaughtering evacuees
from one of Galactus’ feedings, the
Worldmind suffered a total system
failure, secretly alerting the new recruits
to aid it before it went off-line. Learning
of a Skrull invasion of Earth, Rich raced
back home and arrived at Project:
PEGASUS, where his kid brother
Robbie now worked. Helping to defend
the base, Rich allowed Robbie and Dr.
Even Necker to extract the Worldmind
matrix from his brain and temporarily
store it in a gestalt mainframe, where it
was rebooted back online. Accessing
the weapons inventory of the Project,
Worldmind activated the experimental
Minion robots stored there, and used
them to help beat back the invading
Skrulls. The new Nova Corps members
– the dragon-like Kakaranatharan
Fraktur, feline-like Mephitisoid Morrow,
synthetic Manufactured Harmonite
Qubit, Rigellian Irani Rael, and Shi’ar
Malik Tarcel – arrived on Earth and
destroyed the attacking Skrull ship.
Before Rider could fully accept the
new Corps members, the Worldmind
recruited over 50 more Nova Corpsmen,
including Robbie Rider. When the
Worldmind brought Ego into Earth’s
orbit and requested Rich transfer the
Nova Force to the waiting power cells,
Rich refused, sensing something wrong.

Worldmind, claiming Rich had suffered
mental damage due to carrying the
Nova Force for so long, forcibly took it
all, leaving Rich powerless and no
longer a Nova Corps member. After
making Tarcel the new Nova Prime, the
Worldmind then recruited thousands
more Corpsmen, including Washington,
DC police officer Tre Owens, Parisian
firefighter Guy Dimond, Kenyan park
ranger Matu Makalani, Japanese
cashier Suki Yumiko and Australian
lifeguard Lindy Nolan, to police the
renewed hostilities between the Shi’ar
and Kree empires, and to investigate the
Terran Inhumans’ destruction of the last
of the Skrull armada. The Worldmind
downloaded endorphins into the new
recruits’ systems to make them accept
their new lives better and uploaded the
necessary galactic histories and skill
patches to quickly bring them up-to-date
on the foes they were to fight, before Nu-
Xandar left Earth’s orbit to halt hostilities
in the interstellar gulf of Saranta.
However, the Corps battalions were
decimated by the Shi’ar Imperial Guard,
forcing Tarcel to surrender. Rider and
Quasar (Wendell Vaughn) confinced the
Worldmind to restore Rider’s Nova
Force, after which Rider lobotomized
Ego. To resolve its corruption, the
Worldmind purged its own guiding
personality from its mental gestalt and
installed Ko-Rel’s as the new guide and
Nova Corps leader.
When a war ignited between the
Kree-led Inhumans and the Shi'ar, the
Nova Corps stepped in to stop it.
Unfortunately, they took massive
casualties and the new Nova Prime,
Malik Tarcel, was captured by the Shi'ar
Imperial Guard. Richard Rider, who was
stripped of his status by Worldmind,
reclaimed the title of Nova Prime and
decided to train the Corps as a
probationary group.
When Rider charged the entire
Nova Force in order to stop Thanos
while in the Cancerverse and
subsequently went missing, the corps
was left powerless and presumably
disbanded. However, there was still
hope in the form of former Black Nova
Jesse Alexander's son, Sam Alexander.
A new Nova Corps was eventually
established on their new floating
headquarters, the Spirit of Xandar.
However, it faced numerous challenges
due to its members’ relative
inexperience and the fact that the power
vacuum left during their absence had
been filled by other organizations across
the galaxies. In the wake of Richard
Rider's return from the Cancerverse, the
Corps began to rebuild at a much
greater pace, recruiting beings from all
over the galaxy, including a large
number of ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. agents from
Earth. However, since this new Nova
Corps still had to prove themselves,
most planets refrained from sending
their best soldiers, leading the Corps to
be packed with scoundrels and
criminals. In addition to that, the
Fraternity of Raptors had deployed
countless spies in order to subvert the
Novas.
Nova commander Scott Adsit
sought help from the Guardians of the
Galaxy to root out the corrupt officials.
Rocket Raccoon set in motion a plan to
get rid of the Raptor spies by temporarily
capturing those that were simple
scoundrels yet still loyal to the Nova
Corps. The criminals were then freed by
Rocket and Adsit after the spies notified
the Raptors that Rocket's sweep had
unwittingly subverted the Novas,
leading the Raptors to launch an attack,
unaware that the Nova Corps would be
stronger than expected. The Raptor's
attack failed, and their forces were
routed, while all Raptor-loyalist Novas
were arrested.

STRUCTURE:
The Nova Corps originally
consisted of 500 soldiers ranging in rank
from Corpsman up to Centurion and its
leader, Centurion Nova Prime. The
Corps also had a regiment of Syfon
Warriors.
After the decimation of the Corps
and subsequent reformation, those
numbers and structure have constantly
been in flux, with some members
starting out at Centurion rank, but then
being lowered in rank to Millennian or
even Corpsman.
RANKS:
Note: As the Nova Corps membership
numbers rise and fall, the amount of the
Nova Force allotted to each rank can
change. These are typical powers and
ranks, but these may change depending
on how much of the Nova Force is
allocated to the various Nova Corps
members by the Worldmind.
Additionally, as shown with some of
the various members of the Nova Corps,
the Nova Force raises their statistics to
these ranks, unless they are already
higher due to their race or other
augmentations.

Energy Generation: The Nova Prime
can channel the Nova Force and expel
the energy in the form of extremely
powerful concussive blasts that he often
uses in combat situations, at Amazing
rank unless otherwise specified. A few
of the abilities available are:
• The ability to manipulate the Nova
Force to create hyperspace portals in
space such as Space Gates,
• The ability to release extremely
powerful electromagnetic pulses and
beams, either from specific parts of
his body or from his whole body
surface,
• The ability to emit powerful
electromagnetic discharges that can
disable advanced equipment,
• Generate a concentrated burst of
energy capable of Shift Z damage.
This attack reduces Nova Prime’s
Endurance to Feeble for the following
10 rounds and may only be used once
every 200 days minus the character’s
Endurance points,
• Generation of light, and/or heat,

Notes: The Centurion Nova Prime is the
leader of the Nova Corps and holds the
highest rank of all members. The Nova
Prime is normally selected. Extreme

NOVA CORPS EQUIPMENT
Uniform: Each Nova Corps member is
issued a uniform made of unidentified
materials. This uniform provides the
following abilities:
• Excellent protection from hard
vacuum and temperature extremes.
• Excellent radio reception
• Unlimited recyclable air supply (older
versions only had a 6-hour supply)
• Good rank infrared sensor in the
helmet
• The helmet is made of a malleable
metal that when removed can
collapse into a cloth-like material. It
can also cover the face by either
cybernetic command or automatically
when sensing pressure/temperature
changes. It also provides access to
the Nova Prime starship and enables
it to see through its cloaking shield.
Photon Blasters: Normally reserved for
the lower ranking members, this hand-
held blaster operates as a standard
laser pistol.
Sky-Flyers: These are the standard
one-person flying craft for the Nova
Corps. Depending on the purpose of the
mission, they may be fitted with two mid-
range lasers weapons.

XANDARIAN WORLDMIND
The Xandarian Worldmind is a Class G
collective artificial sentience whose data
is entirely comprised of the experiences,
histories, and personalities of deceased
members of the Nova Corps as well as
the general populace of Xandar. It is
tasked with preserving itself (as it is one
of the most knowledgeable super-
computers in the universe) and acting as
the custodian of the Nova Force. The
actual brains of deceased Xandarians
are stored within the computer and the
Xandarians had been amassing these
brains for 1 million years. Thoran Rul
was the keeper of the Worldmind and
later merged with it to protect Xandar
from the Skrulls.

Bakian and her crew embezzled
funds and stole resources to build a
fortress in order to protect the Power
Stone, so their actions didn't simply go
unnoticed. Nova commander Scott Adsit
sought the help of the Guardians of the
Galaxy to investigate Bakian's squad, as
part of his attempt to root out any spies
and corrupt officers. Star-Lord and Rich
Rider travelled to Xitaung and attacked
the base, until Star-Lord noticed Eve
was pregnant. He called a cease-fire,
which led the situation to be clarified,
and Eve to show them the Power Stone.
Rider agreed that Eve couldn't
disclose the discovery of the Power
Stone to the Nova Corps as long as they
were compromised, and helped Eve and
her crew lay under the radar. When he
and Star-Lord reported back, they
claimed to have found Eve and her
crew's graves in Xitaung, and pinned the
embezzlement on a group of non-
existent pirates that supposedly had
stolen their identities before being killed
by Star-Lord and Rider. Star-Lord later
provided Eve with reinforcements, in the
form of Drax, who agreed to live on
Xitaung after deciding to leave the
Guardians of the Galaxy. Before she
could return home to give birth to her
daughter, Eve saw herself forced to fend
off concurrent invasions from the
Fraternity of Raptors and the Chitauri.
She went into labor in the middle of
battle, and Gamora delivered the baby.
She then fled the planet with the
Guardians of the Galaxy and her fellow
Nova Corpsmen when Xitaung
crumbled apart when the Power Stone

Malik Tarcel worked against the
Shi'ar due to their part in starting war. He
was loyal to the rule of Lilandra and saw
Emperor Vulcan as usurper to the

attack was successful but this battle led

Malik Tarcel took on the Gladiator

Earth proved to be the destination.
Irani arrived with her fellow Centurions

Rhomann Dey, a centurion in the planet

Dey was pursuing the energy-pirating
Luphomoid warlord Zorr, who had
seemingly destroyed Xandar and now
targeted Earth. Dying of injuries suffered
in earlier combat with Zorr, Dey had
passed his Nova powers and equipment
to a worthy successor (Rider) to
continue his mission. During his coma,
Rider was mentally fed information
regarding his benefactor, powers and
situation. Upon recovering, Rider initially
assumed he had been dreaming, but he
soon discovered his superhuman
powers and ability to manifest a Nova

mutations, though she soon recovered

During a rematch with Diamond-
head, Nova finally remembered the full
details of the Epyrus-7 massacre and
smashed the criminal's diamond body to
smithereens in a fit of rage, though
Nova's ally Captain America offered to
characterize the incident as self-

Nova had Reed Richards dampen his
abilities temporarily to better control
them. Meanwhile, Speedball
reorganized the New Warriors and
convinced a reluctant Nova to rejoin.
Feeling he had outgrown the Warriors

Rider drastically altered his Nova
costume during outings with the
Warriors and allowed the media to think
that the Warriors' Nova might be some
sort of imitator or sidekick, another Kid

the Wave then struck Xandar, wiping out
the entire Xandarian population and
nearly the entire Nova Corps in a
surprise attack. As the only known
survivor of the Nova Corps massacre
and the last representative of Xandarian
civilization, Richard Rider reluctantly
became the host body for the totality of
the Nova Force which had once
empowered the entire Corps, and also
became the host consciousness for the
Xandarian Worldmind so that Xandar's
knowledge and culture could live on

maintaining his sanity via the
Worldmind's influence and a special

opposed the Annihilation Wave.
Mentored by the Worldmind and Drax
the Destroyer and briefly allied with
fellow Earth-born cosmic hero Quasar
(who died battling Annihilus), Rider has
also become a key military commander
in the anti-Annihilation force the United
Front, assisted by his aide Peter Quill
and his new lover Gamora, eventually
killing Annihilus, destroying his forces
and ending the threat.
Obsessed with finding planets in
need of help, Nova scoured the galaxy
until, too fatigued to continue, he took up
the Worldmind's suggestion to return to
Earth to recuperate. His homecoming
was marred when he discovered that
some of the New Warriors were dead,
killed by Nitro in an explosion that also
slew thousands of civilians, and that the
public held the New Warriors
responsible for the slaughter, leading to
the passing of the Superhuman
Registration Act (SHRA) and a super
hero civil war. Alerted to Nova's arrival
on Earth by his high-level power
emanations, Iron Man (Tony Stark) led a
SHIELD strike team to the Rider's home.
Iron Man sought to recruit Nova into the
SHRA's Initiative, but Nova was
angered that Iron Man had come to his
parents' house in force, and accused
him of being too wrapped up in his
parochial agenda to notice the bigger
picture. Given 24 hours to decide
whether to register, Rider consulted with
former New Warrior Justice (Vance
Astrovik), now an Initiative member.
When Diamondhead subsequently
attacked him, Rider was dismayed to
find the police as distrustful of him, an
unregistered hero, as they were the
known criminal. Drawn by news of the
battle, the Thunderbolts, responsible for
reigning in unregistered heroes, also
attacked Nova until Iron Man
intervened. Later Rider was visited by
Robbie Baldwin (now Penance), the
lone survivor of Nitro's explosion, now
one of the Thunderbolts. Like Justice,
Baldwin pleaded with Nova to register
so they could be allies once again.
Disturbed by how much his world
has changed in his short absence, Nova
departed. Responding to hundreds of
sudden distress signals from the Kree
homeworld Hala, Nova was attacked by
Kree Sentries under orders from
Gamora, herself controlled by the
Phalanx, a techno-organic species now
led by the Terran robot Ultron. Vastly

and afterwards the two traveled together
to Earth, where they faced a Skrull
warfleet. KI'rt pretended to kill Nova so
the Skrull fleet would abandon their
search and allow Nova time to safely

parents' safety, Rider learned Project:
PEGASUS (which now employed his
brother Robert) was under Skrull attack.
Coming to PEGASUS' defense, Nova
was initially attacked by the Project's

wasn't a Skrull imposter, but — after
proving his identity — helped them fend
off the Skrulls' assault. Informed by
PEGASUS' scientists that they had a

Nebula — and he prepared to destroy
Earth unless he received Nebula. Saal
withstood the combined assaults of
Quasar, the Fantastic Four, and the
Avengers, but Reed Richards convinced
him to enter the timestream to pursue
the time-lost Nebula.
His search fruitless, Saal watched
with rage as the human Richard Rider
regained his Nova-Power. Saal returned
to Earth, and the coming together of all
portions of the Nova-Force in the
universe activated a failsafe in the
World-Mind, cloning Xandar's Queen
Adora. Saal defeated Nova (Rider) and
forced him to surrender his power, then
learned that Rider was also imbued with
Xandar's spirit. He combined his power
with Rider to restore Xandar, but Rider
absorbed Saal's power instead. Saal fell
comatose while Rider restored Xandar's
World-Mind and was instated as Nova
Centurion Prime. Recovering, Saal was
made Centurion Sector Coordinator, but
after Rider refused an order to assist the
reformed Nova Corps (a.k.a. StarCorp),
Adora — apparently pressured by Shi'ar
representatives — sent Saal, as Nova
Omega, to strip Rider of rank and power.
Rider fled to Adora to learn the truth, and
she confirmed Saal's replacing him as
Centurion Prime. Saal accompanied
Rider to Earth, but their pilot revealed
himself to be Volx the Dire Wraith
Queen. The ship crashed on Earth, and
Volx escaped when Rider spitefully shot
Saal with a blaster. Volx captured the
pursuing Saal and drained his energy to
power a doomsday weapon, but Rider
and the New Warriors freed Saal, who
joined Rider in exploding Volx's base.
Stationed in Earth's orbit, Saal
enjoyed his new mission, becoming a
local hero in San Francisco and
remotely communicating with old friend
Mexxa Rien. After assisting the Warriors
against the Sphinx and preventing a
disastrous radiation release, Saal
learned his superiors were spying on
Earth. Cutting their connection, Saal
helped the Warriors locate Volx, who
was arranging to remove Earth's
superhumans' powers. Volx seemed
unbeatable until Saal tried to drain her
power. The vast energies mortally
wounded Saal, but this left Volx
weakened. Dying, Saal returned Rider's
power and informed him of Xandar's
treachery. The Warriors slew Volx, and
Saal's brain patterns were presumably
transferred to the World-Mind, living on
in Richard Rider to this day.

Duty, was accidentally flung from his

due to a stargate accident, with him as

home but failed multiple times. Without
any other course of action, he decided
to carry on his Nova Corps duties,

Titus is single-mindedly motivated by
revenge on all those who he perceives
as enemies. He is so obsessed that he
is willing to ally with other enemies in
order to pursue his target of the
moment. He is also ambitious, willing to
do what it takes to gain any advantage.

HISTORY
Titus was a member of the
Supernovas, a branch of the Nova
Corps. He served with Jesse Alexander,
the father of Sam Alexander, Mister
Z'zz, The Phlish, and a few other
Supernovas. Following the desertion of
Jesse Alexander, Titus was attacked by
the Chitauri, which lead to the loss of
Titus' right eye and arm. After serving
the Chitauri for several years, Titus
came to Earth in search of Jesse
Alexander's Nova helmet.
Titus lied to Sam telling him that he
had killed his father; however, this was
not as Jesse Alexander was being held
captive by the Chitauri. When Titus
found Sam, he threatened him and all
that he held dear, in exchange for the
Ultimate Nullifier he stole from their ship.
Sam then got back his helmet from
Titus and took them both to outer space,
expecting the lack of oxygen to kill Titus.
When that plan failed, Sam took out the
Ultimate Nullifier and told Titus to take
his forces and leave. Titus and Sam
then struggled for the gun and Sam
accidentally triggered it, seemingly
killing Titus and an entire fleet of
Chitauri.
Titus later turned up alive and
partnered with Death's Head to ambush
Sam and the recently-resurrected Nova
Prime while they the pair was visiting
Knowhere. He was subsequently
defeated by Sam and Rider.

bad guys since childhood, Dyker is
fulfilling his dream to be the villain.
While a very capable hand to hand
combatant when he wishes,
Diamondhead chooses to rely on his

who also feared the Sphinx. Together,

Nova into working with them, tried to
maroon Nova in outer space, stole
advanced weapons from the hero's
Nova Prime spacecraft, and attacked
the Sphinx who defeated them and
embedded Diamondhead deep within a
mountain.
Accidentally freed months later by
army engineers, Diamondhead clashed
with Nova, 1950s hero the Comet and
rival criminal Doctor Sun, all of whom
converged on the Nova Prime starship
along with Powerhouse, Comet's son
Crime-buster, and the Sphinx. Stowing
away in hopes of attacking his enemies,
Diamondhead found himself unwillingly
transported to the planet Xandar, then at
war with the Skrulls. Dyker reluctantly
joined most of his shipmates in forming
the Champions super-team to defend
Xandar, once battling the Sphinx
alongside the Fantastic Four.
Diamondhead later switched allegiance
to the Skrulls, first triggering a massacre
at Epyrus-7 which traumatized Nova,
and ultimately facilitating a Skull
invasion of Xandar itself causing Crime-
buster's death. The Champions
defeated the Skrulls with the aid of the
space-knight Rom, and Nova set
Diamondhead adrift in space. Dyker
was captured by the enigmatic alien

Becoming a hired assassin
Diamondhead earned the criminal
Corruptor's enmity in addition to
clashing with various superheroes
notably several rematches with Nova.
During one confrontation with Nova and
Captain America, Nova smashed
Diamondhead to bits. Eventually
reassembled, Dyker participated in a
mass escape attempt at the high-tech
Raft super-prison, but disgraced ex-
hero Robbie Baldwin thwarted the
jailbreak. More recently Diamondhead
attacked Nova yet again, unaware that
the hero had become vastly more
powerful since they last fought; Nova
defeated him easily, smashing his hand
and turning him over to the police.
After the war between the Avengers
and the X-Men, Diamondhead came out
of hiding to attack Sam Alexander, the
new Nova, bearing a grudge against the
entire Corp and enraged that it managed
to live on after Ryder's death. Though
Diamondhead was able to overpower
the new, inexperienced Human Rocket,
Sam eventually managed to blind him
with a bright flash of energy and leave
him stranded on a high plateau in the
middle of the Arizona desert.
