Suggested Applications
Glydant can be easily incorporated into a broad number of personal care products to
prevent spoilage from microorganisms. Products include, but not are limited to:
shampoos, hand soaps, face creams, sunscreen lotions, bubble baths and wipes.
Typical use levels are from 0.20 – 0.60%. Typical pH range is 3.0 – 10.0.
Compatible with anionic, cationic and nonionic systems
Add during cool down phase of process, where possible
Short bursts of temperature are also acceptable, up to 80º C. in closed systems

The components of Glydant are listed in the United States Environmental Protection
Agency TSCA Inventory list.
DMDMH-Registration
Europe: listed as a preservative for cosmetics on the EEC positive list EEC max.
accepted concentration: 0.6 % (100% active)
Japan DMDM Hydantoin can be used at a level up to 0.3% only in products that are
rinsed after use. Listed in the positive list However, the following warning must be
labelled: “should not be used by infants or by people who are hypersensitive to
formaldehyde”

Storage
Glydant can be stored for up to 3 years in the sealed original drum under normal
temperature conditions. Do not freeze. To maintain product quality, do not store in heat
or direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed. .Storage temperature: > 60°F (15.6 °C).
