Biography sri mulyani,

Sri Mulyani is the Republic Indonesia’s Finance Minister now. She was born in Bandar Lampung
26 August 1962. She was previously known as an economic observer in Indonesia. She has served
as Head of the Institute for Economic and Social Research at the Faculty of Economics, University
of Indonesia (LPEM FEUI) since June 1998.
Sri Mulyani is the first Indonesian to serve as Managing Director of the World Bank. She held this
position from 1 June 2010 until he was recalled by President Joko Widodo to serve as Minister of
Finance to replace Bambang Brodjonegoro. She took office again on 27 July 2016. Previously, she
served as Minister of Finance in the United Indonesia Cabinet. When she became Managing
Director of the World Bank, she left her position as finance minister at that time. In 2004, she
served as Minister of State for National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas from the
United Indonesia Cabinet. On 5 December 2005, when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono
announced a cabinet reshuffle, Sri Mulyani was transferred to become Minister of Finance to
replace Jusuf Anwar. Since 2008, she has served as Acting Coordinating Minister for the Economy,
after the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Dr. Boediono was sworn in as Governor of Bank
Indonesia.

she was named Asia's best Finance Minister for 2006 by Emerging Markets on September 18,
2006 on the sidelines of the World Bank and IMF Annual Sessions in Singapore.She was also
chosen as the 23rd most influential woman in the world by Forbes magazine in 2008 and the 2nd
most influential woman in Indonesia by Globe Asia magazine in October 2007.

But not many people know that prior to her resignation as a minister in 2010, members of the
DPR suspected Sri Mulyani of being involved in the criminal act of bailout of Bank Century funds
in 2008. Century's bailout fund, which was originally 1.6 trillion rupiah, became 6.7 trillion rupiah.
Former vice president Jusuf Kalla criticized Sri Mulyani's policies, including the bailout of these
funds.
