The Roles of Corporate Social Responsibility

Based on the videos you have watch in the last lesson, you would have understood the various roles of
CSR for internally and externally stakeholders. The areas that we had looked at were:

1. Economic Development
2. Sound Employment Practices
3. Workplace Safety & Environmental Management
4. Customer Safety & Company Liability
5. Ethics in Marketing & Company Liability

McDonald's is a global fast-food franchise that is well-known and appreciated by many people,
particularly the younger generation, which is why I chose this video.

McDonald's is focusing on two areas of development: marketing ethics and corporation liability. The
responsibilities of this CSR programme on marketing ethics and corporate liability are that they have
begun to shift their consumer packaging to renewable, reusable, and certified sources in order to
decrease waste, produce a pleasant and clean environment, and have a beneficial community impact.
Recycling is also offered at all of their restaurants across the world.

Because a firm must have consumers in order to be formally founded, if I become the Head of CSR
programmes at McDonald's, I will focus my development efforts on customer safety and corporate
liability. As a result, I'll publish all McDonald's goods that include substances or allergies on the menu so
that consumers may avoid them.
