He was born on July 21, 1981, in The Bronx, New York City, to a Dominican
father and a Puerto Rican mother.

As a child, Santos showed an early interest in music and began singing in his
church choir. He also learned to play the guitar and began writing songs. In
1995, he joined his cousin's band, where he developed his skills as a vocalist
and performer.

In 1999, Santos formed Aventura with his brother, cousin, and a friend. The
group's unique blend of bachata, R&B, and hip-hop quickly gained popularity,
and they became known as "the kings of bachata." Aventura released their
first album in 2002, which became a hit in the United States and Latin
America. They went on to release several more successful albums and won
numerous awards, including several Billboard Latin Music Awards and a Latin
Grammy.

In 2011, Santos announced that he was leaving Aventura to pursue a solo

career. His first solo album, "Formula, Vol. 1," was released later that year
and became a commercial success. The album featured collaborations with
several high-profile artists, including Usher and Lil Wayne. His follow-up
album, "Formula, Vol. 2," was released in 2014 and also became a
commercial success.

In addition to his music career, Santos has also acted in several films and
television shows. He made his acting debut in the film "Furious 7" in 2015
and has since appeared in several other films, including "Angry Birds 2" and
"Honest Thief."

Throughout his career, Santos has become one of the most popular and
successful Latin music artists of all time. He has sold millions of albums, won
numerous awards, and has become a cultural icon in the Latin music world.
