The team had excellent communication throughout the completion of the project.

From the
beginning, four out of the ve team members jumped on the project and discussed the steps that
were need for a successful project. The four of us demonstrated effective task completion skills
right away. Every team member adequately understood their responsibilities pertaining to the
project. There were no misunderstandings or miscommunications between the team members.
We all showed respect, trust for each other, and commitment to our tasks which will undoubtedly
lead to a successful project. We relied on each other for everyone to do their part and the end
result turned out to be a well-executed project. I believe we were able to reach a good level of
team cohesion by the end although it was a short-term project the proactive work and good
communication turned us into a great team.

At the initial stages of the project, we have some issues with using the commonly agreed-on
source of communication until we agreed to start a group e-mail outside of the ASU mailing
system for a more instant connection. Before we set up the rst Zoom meeting we reached out to
all team members to join in and discuss the project team charter. Unfortunately, despite our best
efforts, one team member has not shown any signs of participation in the project. After giving
them enough reaction time and hearing no response, the group decided to redistribute the tasks in
four ways and get the job done. The Zoom videoconferencing helped with connecting with our
team visually and being able to make remarks that were harder to put in words in an email. The
exchange of ideas happened faster compared to asynchronous communication this improvement
helped the team clarify the smaller aspects of the project that we lost in the email
communication.

The only problem that our team ran into as mentioned above, was the lack of response from one
of our team members. We identi ed that this is a problem and we need to address it. We agreed
to get in contact with them and invite them to participate. We reached out to the team member
via direct message in Perusall and were able to connect with them. We included them in the
email chain and invite them to the Zoom meeting. They did not show up to the Zoom meeting so
we had to evaluate our options we decided to make another contact and if no response then we
would proceed and take on the project and divide it into four instead of ve. We documented our
agreement and noti ed the team member of our decision. They did not reply so we proceeded
with the agreement that we had in place and drafted the team charter. The team has successfully
completed the task and the fth team member will have to face the consequences. We followed
all the necessary steps to reach out to the team member but after a while, we had to proceed in
order to get the project completed and leave the team member out with an option for them to join
in if they chose to.
