    The Superintending Engineers (R&B), noted in the margin are hereby informed that

    GOAP desired to take up development of roads through collection of toll. ln this regard

    certain roads have already been identified under Category-|, where the roads are

    developed recently, fairly in good condition and do not require any capital investment. The

    list of roads is as follows,

    Traffic studies have been conducted on these roads. lt is beinq pla nned to invite

    tenders for selection of toll collection aoencies shortlv.

    ln the above contest, it is very much essential to keep the above Category-l roads

    in toll worthy condition, with trim and decent look condition by the time of commencing the

    toll collection.

    The SEs requested to ensure the road is good in respect to the following general

    items,

    1. Carriageway should be free from potholes.

    2. Carriageway should be free from edge breaks.

    3. Shoulders should be for slandard width and slrong withoul low or high

    berms..

    4. No Jungle on either side, 2.5m from edge of Caniageway.

    5. Culverts/Bridges parapets shall be in good condition along with painting and

    numbers with nomenclature of river/vagu details etc.,

    6. Center Line/Lane markings at required places/studs wherever necessary

    shall be done.

    7. Sign Boardvlnformation Boards/Crash barriers shall be properly in position.

    8. Speed breakers as per Standards.

    9. Any other routine maintenance activity

    O.R. grant already allocated to the divisions shall be utilized for the above purpose.

    ln case of shortfall of O.R. grant, il is requested to submit separate estimate for additional

    costs.

    This should be treated as "TOP PR|OR|TY".
