CYBER-SECURITY

STAY SAFE
Cyber-security is an extremely important issue because it can effect
the public's safety and health along with yours. One instance, was when
hacker tried to pollute the water supplies of 2 cities, luckily they were
caught!

EVERY 39 SECONDS
Recent studies have shown that a cyber new
cyber-attack occurs every 39 seconds. We
need to educate more people to spread
awareness about this ever growing problem!

YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE!
Approximately 95% of cyber-security attacks
are a result of human error. Young people are
falling into traps believing the scammers.
Risks with these scams can equate to money
loss and identity theft! I big risk with using
online websites. To avoid this, we need to
make stronger passwords, educate young
kids and not trust someone calling you asking
for access to your bank account!
INCREASING
CASES!
The number of cyber-attack
cases on young individuals has
increased 5 times from 2011 to
2019, this figure will only get
higher if we don't start doing
simple things like updating
software and double-checking
suspicious links!

SCARY STATS
60% of businesses that suffered from a data
breach had to raise the cost of goods and
services for their customers in the after math.

Over 75% of targeted cyberattacks start with an

email. Phishing is one of the top causes of data
breaches, followed by the use of stolen
credentials and ransomware.

RISKS AND THREATS!

Cyber security breaches can result in the theft
of valuable, sensitive data like medical records.
They are often targeted towards a younger
audience. They can disrupt phone and
computer networks or paralyze systems,
making data unavailable.
