INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS THE MOVIE ALL ABOUT?
This is a story of day-to-day living by Renata (Lolita Rodriguez), her daughter Esther (Nora Aunor) and
Esther's husband Luis (Raul Aragon). Ester and Luis are a couple trying to start their own family while
living in Renata's house.
Ester Postigo plays a social worker who cannot have a baby. Because of her infertility, her husband Luis
goes to bed with her mother, Renata and she bears a child. Ester brings the matter to court.

DISCUSSION
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT ETHICAL AND MORAL ISSUES IN THE MOVIE
Men having a mistress somewhat not immoral but in this movie scene that the legal wifes husband have a
mistress and shockly the mistress is the legal wife's mother.Additonaly the mistress and the husband has
a baby this is an example of unethical and immoral in all sort of standard of society,somehow the mistress
or the mother of child do this acts with her will and now she is playing an equal part in helping him to
deceive and betray his wife. I’d call that immoral.

WHAT DOES THE MOVIE SPEAK OF THE FILIPINO CULTURE IN GENERAL?

The Filipino mistress is really more like a second wife and is regarded as such by her partner. Often she
has children by him whom he supports and considers as important as his Illegitimate child. Many Filipinos
have two or more support them all. Of course these families are not recognized by the predominantly
Catholic society but the mistress still considers herself as her partner's wife and claim rights over him
which naturally gives rise to conflicts with the legitimate wife.

HOW COULD YOU VIEW THE BEHAVIOR,ACTION,AND DECISSIONS OF EACH

CHARACTER AS TO THEIR MORAL ACTS? HOW WOULD YOU JUSTIFY THEIR
BEHAVIOR IF YOU WERE IN THEIR SITUATION?
Honestly sir i dont know how to justify the acts of the mistress and the husband because the moral acts
that they do is just something out of ther world. I would like to add that because the husband find a
mistress because they cant build a family because of the infertility of the wife. However in some culture
the acts of husband is valid but in our society it takes some consequences of what the husband did.

FIND YOURSELF IN ANY ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTER AND JUSTIFY YOUR
ACTS?
I would be the the legal wife of the movie , the wife acts are justifyable even though the husband and his
mistress has already born a child. Moreover the legal wife cant have a child but thats not a valid reason
to the husband to find or build a family to someone but the plotwist the wife's own mother is the mistress
of the husband this is purely a civil case and it validated the rights of the wife.

CONCLUSION
The major focus of ethics is on Human Actions. In simple terms, those actions which are deliberately and
consciously performed by humans through their intellect and will are known as Human Actions. The
human actions and ethical and moral issues that the movie shows is just likely an immoral and unethical
acts of man. I learned and reflected in my ndaily basis of life that you must have an morality and critical
thingking on why people doint things with their will. Society has a standard that we must have to do and
what not to d
