Lesson 2: Media Types
Performance Task

GOAL/OBJECTIVE: The goal is to create a timeline of the evolution of media types through different
ages/eras the ages. This is a portfolio of the different devices from the prehistoric age, industrial age,
electronic age to the digital age.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Research for different media. Draft a timeline of it, displaying the progress from traditional to
new media, on a bond paper to conceptualize.
2. For each significant year or era, include the media available, supplement it with a picture or
image, year, short description, and a personal insight.
3. Create the timeline through any software or online tool like any of these alternatives: Tiki-Toki,
Time Glider, OurStory, Capzles, Xtimeline, TimeToast, Dipity, Canva, MS Word,
Photoshop.
4. Page orientation should be in landscape. The size is long 8” x 14”.
*A maximum of 2 pages is allowed if necessary
5. The deadline for the submission will be on April 1, 2023 at 5 PM.
6. Submission will be softcopy through google form link. Link will be provided accordingly.
7. The file name format should be: timeline_SurnameFirstname.png
