Role Description

Contracted to Upstream Risk Management, you will be permanently embedded within Amazon’s Europe, Middle
East and Africa region investigations team as a Cape Town based Investigations Triage Analysts (ITA). This role exists
to help protect and safeguard Amazon personnel, information, and assets.

The ITA provides direct support to customers (internal) working in a variety of roles for Amazon around the globe,
who may experience security incidents. Cases vary in complexity and include both "traditional" investigations such
as reports of internal theft, policy violations, and fraud, as well as threats, concerning behavior, and incidents of
workplace violence, including suicidal ideation and domestic violence. The ITAs are often the first point of contact
with the investigations team for the victims and are responsible for conducting case triage and performing initial
investigations on reported security incidents. You will need to be able to conduct impact assessments, enter cases
into the case management system, and provide direct victim support as necessary.

You will be based out of Amazon’s Cape Town offices (there’ll be some home working if you like). You’ll work with
a fantastic team, including three other Cape Town-based ITAs, plus others around the world providing part of the
24-hours incident response coverage. Working an average of 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, you will cover 7am – 3pm
daily, including some weekends, with two flexi hours on each shift to use in a way that you decide best supports the
business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to work with Amazon in a high impact role. Opportunities to
progress within the business are excellent, and include promotion to a rapidly growing team of corporate
investigators and safeguarding threat managers.
