Our prototype was finished in light blue Flite-Kote 07 the fuselage: red, aluminum and metallic gold on the wings; trimmed off with DJ's multistrips in gold and lack. An Ace Digital Commander radio was used and the Super Joy Stick was powered by an Enya .19 R/C engine and Enya muffler The kit is quick building, all pans fit extremely well, and the plans and instructions are completely logical and easily followed by even a novice builder. With regards to the flight performance, we found that it was necessary to move the balance point forward 1/4 at which time the mode! flew exceptionally well. Very smooth aileron rolls were accomp ished with only a touch of down required In addition, the SuperJoy Stick isa very capable aerobatic aireraft Due to the tricycle gear set up, a smaoth surface is required for take-off although the aircraft can easily be built as a tail dragger by simply moving the main anding gear forward sothat the axles are in line with the leading edge of the wing. All in all, the Super Joy Stick is an excellent aireraft for general spor flying, as alow wing trainer, or for one design racing as it was primarily intended by ti manufacturer.
