Solfege - Diatonic Scales

Solfege refers to the sung syllables for each pitch in relation to a tonal
centre. In the movable Do system, ‘Do’ is always the tonal centre, which
could be any given pitch selected.

Solfege - Modes
IMPORTANT: The following tables are for music in the specific mode. If using modes in the context of a
tonal key, you begin your solfege series from the respective note of the diatonic scale.
Eg. In playing a dorian mode over the ii chord in a major key, sing Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do-Re.
