he Cyberpapacy is a realm full of secrets,
both those that the Church is attempting
to conceal, and those of the Resistance and

SECRETS OF THE Delphi Council, whose secrets are literally allowing

them to continue existing.

BUENOS AIRES

RESISTANCE
Argentina is a nation of immigrants, with the vast
majority of the population decending from Italian
and Spanish hertitage. Buenos Aires is even more
cosmopolitan, featuring the second largest Jewish
population in the Americas, Argentines have long
been proud of their nation, and despite recent
economic difficulties they celebrate their heritage
of football, tango, and fine dining.
Buenos Aires was a sprawling metropolis of
13.5 million people, and the capital of Argentina.
Previously it was known as the “Paris of South
America” (though don’t tell the porteños that) for its
European architecture and its street Tango dancing
in front of quaint cafes. Then the Cyberpapacy
arrived.
Now the sprawl has increased to over 20 million,
and while the European architecture hasn’t been
replaced, it’s largely been covered up by neon
holograms emitted by the GodNet. Tango is heresy,
and even the consumption of Argentine cuisine like
milanesa, provoleta, and the delicious fugazetta
are done in secret. Only Church-approved food is
permitted now.

“NEW PARIS”
However, the Cyberpapacy is not truly in control
of Buenos Aires–certainly not to the degree that
the Church enjoys in Brazil, let alone Europe. The
Cyberpope chose to absorb Buenos Aires before
the population had been properly “prepared”,
though even the College of the Way is not aware of
the reasoning for jumping so quickly.
Additionally, Buenos Aires is a “softpoint”,
a Cyberpapacy/Core Earth Mixed Zone that is
slowly decaying (see sidebar). Although the
Church enjoys technological superiority, it does
not have the manpower to actually impose its will.

of Core Earth) is higher than in the Cyberpapacy
proper, the Church simply isn’t capable of taking
advantage of that fact. Nor does the Church have
enough Church Police to fully maintain order
much beyond the downtown core. In other areas
of the city, local organizations, gangs in particular,
have developed to maintain control.
The Delphi Council and Resistance are only in
the infant stages of establishing bases of operation,
safehouses, and supply networks. However, given
Buenos Aires unique situation, at least for the next
year or so, before the softpoint degrades, the Delphi
Council is making the Argentine capital a priority.
GETTING AROUND
BUENOS AIRES
Although Buenos Aires has a robust public
transportation system, including a subway, which
has been supplemented by self-driving vehicles,
porteños love their cars. The traffic laws of Buenos
Aires are more like pirate code–“guidelines more
than rules”–and even those who drive more
“primitive” Tech 23 cars continue to navigate the
streets of the city almost as if they have 360 degree
vision. Drivers change lanes without signaling,
drive straddling lanes, and yet amazingly accidents
are relatively rare. Church officials currently are
allowing this controlled chaos to continue, and
have actually removed traffic violations from the
List (see Cyberpapacy Sourcebook) as heretical
acts, lest the entire population of Buenos Aires
would be considered Apostates.
Aircars can be found in Buenos Aires as well,
though mostly in the downtown core, and only
in the hands of Church officials and those “more
blessed” high class individuals who collaborate
with the invaders.

SOFTPOINTS
Softpoints are reality features similar to
hardpoints that form during an invasion.
Softpoints consist of multiple small Mixed Zones
that initially form around important cultural
sites and objects. Unlike hardpoints, softpoints
have no Pure or Dominant core, and cannot be
destroyed, but instead slowly decay, starting
from the outermost regions. This decay is
relentless, but does fluctuate at the boundaries,
so the borders of softpoints expand and contract
randomly over a period of several days to a few
weeks.
Buenos Aires might remain a softpoint for
18–24 months. Softpoints in larger cities (such
as those in China) could survive for up to five
years.
BARRIOS
Like any other large city, Buenos Aires is made
up of many smaller barrios, or neighborhoods,
each with its own personality that continues to be
maintained despite Church presence. Some of the
more well known ones are detailed below.
Downtown (Monserrat and
Puerto Madero)
The downtown core is Church territory. Unlike
the rest of Buenos Aires, but just like the rest of
the Cyberpapacy, the buildings are covered by
holograms, and the streets are heavily patrolled by
Church Police. In fact, Church Police presence is
even heavier than seen in other sprawls since they
are sparse in other parts of the city.
Just to the west of downtown is Puerto Madero, a
former dockside area. The neighborhood featured
modern skyscrapers even before the Cyberpapacy
arrived, and these have now been ‘acquired’ by
the Church to house important officials and high
ranking members of the Church Police.
Noteable locations include:

Casa Rosada: The “Pink House” is located on
the Plaza de Mayo which historically has been
the setting of many a protest. The Church does
not allow any such expressions of displeasure
in the government anymore. This rose-colored
palatial mansion was the office of the President
of Argentina, but now is used as the residence for
Fernando Vargas, the Archbishop of Buenos Aires,
who gives sermons from the balcony overlooking
the plaza, hearkening back to the famous speech
by Eva Perón, which itself became internationally
known through the song Don’t Cry for Me
Argentina in the musical, Evita.
Metropolitan Cathedral: Taking up the northern
side of the Plaza de Mayo is the massively expanded
Metropolitan Cathedral. The iconic columns of the
front of the cathedral are still there, but the scale
has been increased dramatically after the original
transformed during the axiom wash. In addition to
major rituals, the cathedral acts as the bureaucratic
center of Cyberpapal Argentina and houses the
local offices of the Church Police. Prisoners of
the Cyberpapacy are often kept in the cathedral
basement before being transported to other, more
secure parts of the realm.
Barrio Norte (Palmero, Recoleta,
and Retiro)
Barrio Norte is located to the north of downtown,
and is the unofficial cultural center of Buenos Aires.
Before the invasion, Palmero was the top tourist
barrio in Bueons Aires, full of trendy restaurants,
cafes, parks, and museums. The barrio is just far
enough from downtown that it is only lightly
patrolled by the Church Police, and at least one
gang, including the Perdidos, declare it as their
territory. With the Church only having a minimal
presence, the citizens of Palmero do not enjoy the
“gifts” of the Church and have fallen on hard times
as the tourist industry collapsed following the
arrival of the Reality Raiders.
Recoleta is an affluent residential neighborhood
located just to the southeast of Palmero and is full
of historical monuments, museums and the world-
famous Recoleta Cemetery.
 Retiro a major transportation corridor and hub,
including the Buenos Aires subway, freeways, and
a train station. However, not every place in Barrio
Norte is well off, with the Villa 31 shantytown
located next to the port and Retiro Hyperloop
Station. Noteable Locations include:
Recoleta Cemetery: The rich and powerful of
Argentina, including Eva “Evita” Perón, are buried
in a necropolis of mausoleums numbering over
6,000 strong. Some of the tombs are run down, no
longer having family or friends to maintain them,
but others are marble works of art. Many tombs
extend downwards by 5 meters or so. The Church
avoids the cemetary completely, after an entire
squad of Church Police were found dead, killed with
no marks upon them. They believe that the ghost
of David Alleno, a man who is said to have saved
his whole life to buy a grave in the cemetery, and
then killed himself in 1960, killed them. Whether or
not this is true, the Delphi Council has discovered
an entrance to the Aysle Underground (see Aysle
Sourcebook) and use the hidden passages to enter
and exit the city undetected.
Grand Splendid Library: This library, a former
theater, is located in the commercial district
of Recoleta, and is arguably the world’s most
beautiful bookstore. The Church attempted to shut
it down, declaring the books contained within as
heresy, but the Perdidos, along with a squad of
Storm Knights, pushed them back. The Archbishop
desires to crush this infamous holdout but he does
not have the resources to do so.
Retiro Hyperloop Station: The former train station
is located on the edge of the Central Park-like Plaza
San Martín. The station is the southern terminus
of the hyperloop route to Cyberpapacy controlled
Brazil as well as a hub for the Buenos Aires
transportation network. The hyperloop is a
sealed vacuum tube which is capable of moving
cylindrical trains frictionlessly. The trains are able
to reach speeds of around 1200 kph, which allows
for a travel time between Buenos Aires and Rio de
Janeiro of only 90 minutes. The Hyperloop station
is the only location in Buenos Aires other than
downtown that is heavily patrolled by the Church.
La Boca and Núñez
La Boca and Núñez are rival barrios on opposite
sides of Buenos Aires, but unified by a love of
football.
La Boca is the birthplace of the Tango, and even
before the invasion, the La Boca was a splash of bright
colors, especially the pedestrial street Caminito. The
barrio, largely consisting of descedants of Italian
immigrants, has a history of rebellion (though its
period of seceesion from Argentina in 1882 only
lasted a day). Despite being practically next door to
the south of the downtown core, the barrio remains
free, largely due to the “protection” of La Doce–the
Boca Juniors’ barra bravas (fierce gang). Now, the
Italian taverns and tango clubs of the Caminitio
serve as signs of rebellion, and members of La
Doce do not shakedown the revelers on that street
down. However, strangers setting foot in the rest of
the neighborhood are quickly challenged by gang
members.
Núñez is practically La Boca’s opposite in
character as well as geography. It is an affluent
neighborhood located to the northwest of Palmero,
on the southern bank of the Río de la Plata (River
Plate in English) an estuary (or arguably the
widest river in the world) that opens out into the
Atlantic Ocean between Argentina and Uruguay.
Although the local football club, River Plate, is
based in Núñez, they actually played in the former
stadium El Monumental which was destroyed by
blue and yellow lightning during the reality storm
that erupted when the Cyberpapacy invaded. The
fact that blue and yellow are the colors of their
rival Boca Juniors is not considered a coincidence
to many of the locals.
La Bombonera: The stadium home of the world-
famous Boca Juniors, is the headquarters of
La Doce, and continues to be used for football
matches in defiance of Church orders, though
the teams largely are made up of locals. There
are rumors though that La Doce is attempting to
organize this year’s Superclásico in with their
rivals, Los Borrachos del Tablón, the barra bravas
of River Plate football club, located in the Núñez
barrio of northwestern Buenos Aires. Whether this
uncharacteristic cooperation leads to more remains
to be seen.

DELPHI COUNCIL
OPERATIONS
Storm Knights of the Hero Division of the Delphi
Council are expected to be the path to victory.
Where large scale military action is unwise at
best, the small and diverse units of reality-rated
individuals may be the only way that Malraux can
be taken down.
OPERATION GOLDEN FLEECE
Even in the GodNet, where nodders and deckers
were nearly eliminated as a threat and are at worst,
a minor inconvenience, Storm Knights who are not
hackers can thrive and achieve victory where Ords
cannot. Even though Reliquaries must be accessed
locally, and hacked from within the GodNet–an

extremely dangerous endeavor, they may be the
lynchpin of victory.
One major weakness that the Church has is
knowledge, and its efficient use. They don’t know
how to acquire and integrate new knowledge
acquired without divine inspiration, and the
knowledge available within the Reliquaries could
prove to be so-called “black swan” events. The
information provided by Reliquaries may turn
the tide, not just in the Cyberpapacy, but in other
realms as well.
OPERATION ODYSSEY
Storm Knights often aid in the smuggling of
refugees out of the Cyberpapacy. Even with the
war a year old, most of the population, especially in
Brazil, still belong to Core Earth reality. However,
the intense reality storms on the border and the
oppressive surveillance that fills the realm means
that most people don’t even attempt it. Only Storm
Knights can help them get out.
Additionally, the city of Paris, which continues
to valiantly hold out, is in desperate need of fuel,
medicine, and other supplies only available from
outside the Cyberpapacy. These missions are quite
dangerous, as the large scale movement of goods
is difficult to hide, and often can only be smuggled
through surface checkpoints rather than sneaking
through the Paris Catacombs.
OPERATION ANDROMEDA
In addition to breaking into Reliquaries, Storm
Knights often are sent to break out people from
prison camps, or for the most skilled of nodders,
freeing souls from Purgatory. Although most
cells split when one of their members is captured,
the Delphi Council does not wish actionable
intelligence to fall into the hands of the Church
(such as addresses to independent constructs
within the Land of Nod).
OPERATION AGAMEMNON
Working with the Resistance is a common mission
for Storm Knights, even if the people they work
with are inherently distrustful. Even though people
are suspicious, over time bonds can form—it is just
quite difficult. Eventually the Delphi Council will
be ready to make its move on the Cyberpapacy,
and it needs as many allies in the Resistance as
possible.
However, the Delphi Council strictly forbids
cooperating with the Children of the Fallen.
“Remember Marseille” is a phrase often said
among Hero Division Storm Knights after an
incident early in the invasion. Delphi Council
Storm Knights formed a temporary alliance with
a group of Children of the Fallen. During a battle
with Church Police, one of the warlocks deliberately
summoned a demon, which rampaged through a
nearby crowd, killing dozens before being taken
down by the Church Police and Storm Knights. All
in front of the cameras.
First person POV videos were shown that night
on the HolyVids, and Malraux used the gruesome
and graphic deaths of innocent people to make the
Storm Knights seem like they fully intended this
to happen. Almost instantly reports about Delphi
Council Storm Knights increased and several
operatives were killed in the following week.
OPERATION MYRTILUS
Although the Church is in full control of the
Cyberpapacy, the Resistance attempts to throw
wrenches into the process, sometimes literally
when it comes to the factories. Sometimes strategic
timing of power outages and destroyed bridges can
mean the difference between success and failure,
or life and death.
Power disruptions are usually caused at the source,
by destroying or sabotaging the fusion generators.
Unlike fission power, fusion power can be safely
and quickly shut down, and radioactivity is not a
concern. However, although power is generated
at local stations, the transmission of power has
multiple redundant systems from underground
powerlines to microwave transmission towers.
Although the Resistance has attempted many
times to take down even a single Holy Exchange of
the GodNet, so far no power outage has even made
a blip on the GodNet itself.
However, power outages can disrupt the signals
going into the homes, but in these cases, some sort
of buffer has prevented the deaths of people using
sanctioned cyberware to access the GodNet. It is
unknown if hacked cyberware has this protective
effect too.
THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR
While most orders are held in high regard when
first formed, few retain such regard as time passes.
The Order of the Temple of the Mount, more
commonly known as the Knights Templar, stood
the test of time, from their formation during the
first Crusade until the rise of Cyberpope Jean
Malraux. The Order was seen as the shining lights
of both chivalry and piety.
Formed as both a knightly order and a monastic
order to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land, the
Templars took vows of poverty in direct defiance
of the standard knightly practice in regards to

 spoils of war. They accepted donations, which
were then dispersed to do good works instead of
enriching the warrior-monks themselves, while
treasure gained from battle was similarly passed to
the Church itself, so that they were never tempted
by the vice of greed.
King Phillip IV of France launched a campaign
to purge the land of the Templars. He was driven
by his nation’s empty coffers and thinking rumors
of vast gold treasure in the Templar vaults both
true and the solution to his financial worries. He
instigated a campaign of slander and heretical
charges, and ordered the knights arrested en mass.
The Knights, ever humble, did not resist, going
quietly to await their trial.
Pope Clement V was infirm and under treatment
when word came to him of this travesty. He prayed
for salvation and, in the morning, found his ills
cured. Filled with righteous vigor, he traveled to
France to defend the Knights against their charges,
eventually asking both the King and the Templar’s
grand master, Jaqcues de Molay to swear upon the
Papal tiara that their words were true. De Molay
did so, but when King Phillip said, “If I lie, may
God strike me down,” he was struck by a bolt
of lightning and instantly slain. By this divine
revelation, the Templars were declared innocent
and stood with honor as the shield of the Church
for centuries.
When Jean Malraux rose to the throne of the
Cyberpapacy, he found that the popularity and
power of the Templars was a hindrance to his
ambition. When many Templars disconnected at
the start of the First Great Crusade, he declared
that they lost the mandate of Heaven and ordered
the Inquisition to delve into their organization.
In two years, the Inquisition presented their
findings to the Cyberpope, finding evidence of
clear heresy and deviant acts at all levels of the
order. In a public speech and with a heavy heart,
he commanded that the order be dissolved, the
leaders to facie punishment for their crimes and
the rest disbanded.
In their place, he created the Church Police to
serve as the protectors of the people, and granted

the Hospitalers all the military responsibilities and
resources that the Templars once claimed. The
Templars, innocent of the charges levied against
them, waged a guerilla war against the corruption
of the Church, spurning the Malraux Bible for the
older Julian Bible.
These rebels remain a thorn in the Cyberpope’s
side but their numbers have drastically dwindled.
The few remaining Templars fled to Core Earth, in
hopes of finding allies (and recruits).
LAND OF NOD
The Land of Nod is largely unexplored, but more
constructs are discovered weekly. Here are some of
the more well known ones.
BECO DO BATMAN
The hardpoint that has resisted detection in Sao
Paulo, Brazil is actually located in the GodNet, and
is one of the undiscovered constructs in the Land
of Nod. From the Land, the entrance node appears
to be a stone wall decorated with a mural of the
famous DC Comics superhero, Batman.
The construct itself is a representation of the
former Beco do Batman, or Batman’s Alley, which
was a open air gallery of street art, where the walls
were covered in cubist and psychedelic murals
and graffiti. New pieces are added spontaneously,
replacing old ones.
It is possible to directly enter and exit the hardpoint
from the former location in Sao Paulo near Vila
Madelena. Although covered by hard holograms,
those with PureSight glasses can see the artwork.
Simply jacking into the GodNet within the alley will
allow direct access to the independent construct.
The Church is attempting to destroy the Sao Paulo
hardpoint but this can only be done if the construct
itself is destroyed.
HELL
The Church believes that the Land of Nod is
beyond God’s sight, and this is no more true than
the independent construct of Hell. From the plains
in the Land of Nod, the entrance to Hell appears as
a multitude of flames burning from holes from the
edges and bottom of a crater.
When the GodNet was created, the demons of the
Cyberpapacy were sucked into the Land of Nod
and are now bound to the GodNet, ensuring that
as long as the Cyberpapacy exists, so will demons.
Demons are able to exit Hell to hunt in the Land
of Nod, but are unable to enter the Promised Land,
except through the conduit of magic. However, this
conduit allows them to manifest in the Flesh even
in cases where access between the GodNet and the
Flesh isn’t otherwise possible (such as within a
Reliquary or in an isolated hardpoint).
Hell itself initially appears to be a deep spiraling
pit inhabited by cruel demons torturing AngelBait
and the Excommunicated who were wandering the
Land of Nod before being captured. However, this
hides the truth that Hell is much, much larger than
it appears, with multiple levels buried beneath the
surface, where the rulers of Hell reside...and the
souls of sinners are punished according to their
crimes.
INDEPENDENT CONSTRUCTS
Many other independent constructs exist, with
their location and access codes highly guarded
secrets. These constructs are controlled by
members of the Resistance, cybergangs, the Delphi
Council, and even rebel Church clergy. Many of
these constructs were without form when they
were discovered, and have been modified to suit
their inhabitants.
Versailles
Versailles is a construct designed to appear like
the Palace of Versailles, the home of the kings
and queens of France. It appears to all to be a
completely faithful reproduction of the palace
and its surrounding gardens, and is maintained
and occupied by members of the Sun Kings and
Queens, formerly of Paris.
Retro
Although the 8-Bit Brigade (see the Delphi Council
and the Resistance Chapter of the Cyberpapacy
Sourcebook) primarily does their communication
through analog signals using frankly, ancient
computer technology, they do occasionally make
excursions into the GodNet using more ‘normal’
means. They found an independent construct
(or some say, the construct found them) which is
highly unusual in nature.
The interior of the construct is essentially void
and featureless, with a single exception: a pedestal,
on top of which is a Commodore 64, monitor, and
modem. When “LOAD * , 8 , 1” is typed onto the
computer, the user is connected to a bulletin board
system that is disconnected from the GodNet, and
can only be accessed through this terminal.
Other avatars may be inside the construct, but no
interaction is possible except through text via the
computer, and only other users may be contacted.
This construct is accessible in the Flesh via
computers in at least two locations (one in Europe,
the other in South America) which are closely
guarded secrets of the 8-Bit Brigade. One is a
Commodore 64, and the other an Apple II.
Tenusath’s Loft
Tenusath, head of Marathon Division and
maintains a safe house within the Land of Nod for
the use of Delphi Council agents who otherwise
have no other Independent Construct to flee to.
Most of the Loft is Tenusath’s personal abode in
the GodNet, but he has constructed an isolated
section of the construct that is communally used
by the Delphi Council. Any Delphi Council agent
on record with Tenusath can access the construct
without requiring a pass-code, but only Tenusath
and those he directly authorizes may access the
private sections.
The Rainbow Connection
This independent construct was the first
discovered by Core Earth nodders, and was quickly
established as an online safehouse for those in the
LGBTQ+ community. The construct is literally “all
sunshine and rainbows” on the inside. Although
allies are welcome, the construct location is a
closely guarded secret only given to those who are
part of the community itself.
The mere existence of this construct is considered
a personal affront to the Cyberpope.

 THE PROMETHEANS
The Prometheans are literal manifestations of
knowledge, and named for Prometheus, a titan
from Greek mythology who gave humanity fire.
There are currently only two known Prometheans,
named by members of the Resistance who first met
them: Loki and Coyote. They appear as holographic
avatars without a standard appearance–often
appearing as animals or humans of any gender–
except for being translucent and glowing, one red,
the other blue.
Unlike the Archangels, they actively aid members
of the Resistance against the Church, and thus
have been made primary targets by high-ranking
members of the Inquisition. The Prometheans
mostly just provide the Resistance with information.
They have not yet taken direct action against the
Church. How this intelligence is acquired nobody
knows, but in all cases the Prometheans provided
it silently. No pattern has been ascertained with
regards to the nature of the provided intelligence.
The Promethean just appears, silently gives
the Resistance agent the information, and then
disappears again. So far, the Prometheans have
only been encountered in the GodNet, not in the
Flesh.
Although some members of the Resistance believe
the Prometheans may just be nodders in disguise,
cyberwitches who have observed them are certain
they are Tech Constructs.

three crosses and the names Jesus and Maria.
When worn by a Reality-rated character, these
icons all glow a dull red.
Powers: The wearer may invoke the bless, commune
with spirits, and soothe miracles if they have a faith
of 10 or higher as if they possessed the Miracles
Perk.
Restrictions: Possibilities from the ring may only
be used with the beast riding , melee weapons,
or missile combat skills, or on faith tests used to
invoke the miracles listed in Powers.

PHARMACOPEIA

Purpose: To gather, and use, medical knowledge
for the good of all mankind.
Description: The name is something of a
misnomer as the Pharmacopeia is, in fact, a
gathering of Ibn al-Bayṭār’s works, including the
original Compendium on Simple Medicaments
and Foods, the Kitāb al-Mughnī fī al-Adwiya al-
Mufrada, (an encyclopedia os Islamic medicine),
and Tafsīr Kitāb Diyāsqūrīdūs a commentary on
Dioscorides’ “Materia Medica”, resulting in a large
tome of knowledge and scientific observations
on matters anatomical, biological, and botanical.
The tome itself weighs five kilograms, with a
sturdy wooden cover and thick parchment pages.
Centered on the cover is a small oval artwork of
a dark blue sky and a red crescent moon. While
the writing within is written in Arabic, when
touched, the writing becomes perfectly clear to
the holder, even if they are illiterate or don’t read
Arabic.
Powers: The Pharmacopeia gives the bearer access
to the heal miracle. In addition, the bearer may
ask a medical or botanical question and the book
turns to the page that can answer that question.
Medicine or science tests related to botanical or
anatomy are Favored.
Restrictions: Possibilities from the Pharmacopeia
may only be used on first aid and medicine tests
or science and profession tests related to botany
or herbalism.

Purpose: To ensure that the people are governned
only the the consent of the people.
Description: Eva Peron was born in poverty, but
became a famous radio-actress and later married
Juan Peron. After her husband was elected
president of Argentina, Eva campaigned for the
right for women to vote and run for office in
national elections. This ballot, with red and blue
ink, was cast by Eva as she lay bed ridden due to
the illness that would eventually kill her.
Powers: Combined Actions led by the bearer are
Favored.
Restrictions: The Ballot’s Possibilities or powers
cannot be used for violent purposes, including
attacks and interaction attacks.
