Materials:
Coats Mercer-Crochet No. 20 (20 gm) 3 balls.
6 Double Pointed Knitting Needles No. 14.
Milwards Steel Crochet Hook No. 3.

Tension: 11 sts = 1 in.

Pattern:

Using crochet hook commence with 7 ch, join with a ss to form

a ring, into ring work 10 dc, 1 ss into first dc. Place loop
of each st on 5 knitting needles having 2 loops on each
needle.

1st Row: K being careful not to twist sts. Insert a coloured

thread on needle to indicate the beginning of row. Always
slip coloured thread from one needle to another at beginning
of each row. Now work in pattern as follows:
2nd Row: * K1, yo; repeat from * all round.
3rd Row: K.
4th Row: * K2, yo; repeat from * all round.
5th Row: K.
6th Row: * K3, yo; repeat from * all round. Work in this
manner, having 1 knitted st more between yo on every
alternate row until there are 260 sts on row, ending with an
odd row.
Now work in pattern as follows:
