Peter’s story
FIRST TERM EXAM – ENGLISH 3

I went to camp in Arizona when I was about ten years old, and I was starting to "go out" with this other
girl who was apparently a model somewhere. Anyway I had to go to the bathroom urgently, so I told her
I had to leave and went to talk to my counselor. I asked him where the latrine (toilet) was and he didn’t
know, so instead of asking quietly, he shouts across the whole camp "hey, [my name] needs to use the
latrine, do you know where it is?" to some other counselor. Of course they have to discuss it for a while,
meanwhile this girl heard it and was looking very embarrassed. Anyway, they finally told me where it
was (we are out camping so the latrine was a hole near some trees), and I started running nervously
towards it. Apparently, it was far from the camp along a road, so I started walking down the road
looking for it. I found the toilet paper, which is a sign of whether or not the latrine was occupied. I
continue walking looking for it and I couldn't find it for about five minutes (did I mention it was night
time?), so it was really dark, I really needed to go but I couldn’t see it. All I found was a fire place, made
of rocks in a circle, so I was using this fireplace when suddenly flash lights came on everywhere and I saw
lights in the distance coming towards me, I stood up quickly and ran all the way back to the camp with
my pants down. I'll never forget that day.

Julia’s Story 2

I was at an underage dance club with all my friends. I had a new short, short mini skirt with a belly shirt
and I thought, I looked so hot in it, a guy asked me to dance, I thought, I was sooooo cool. After the
dance I was walking over to my friends who were at the bar drinking sodas. I walked over towards my
friends thinking I was soo cool because I just got back from dancing with the cutest guy in there. I turned
around to look at him and saw him and his friends were all watching me, I thought to myself, I must look
so hot tonight. I was wearing a really short skirt so when I approached to my friends I carefully went to a
stool (seat) to sit at the bar, but instead of sitting on a stool I sat in a great big trashcan, I fell in the trash
and only my arms and legs were out of the trash can.
