“CODE WARS 2023”

ABOUT HACKATHON

IBM(ICE) is organizing a National Level Hackathon on 9th and 10th February 2023 in
collaboration with UPES, Dehradun where students from all the IBM ICE Universities can
participate in the Hackathon.

This event covers all areas that needs reformation from young minds that will help them towards
problem solving and team management skills.

This hackathon will focus on the Specializations:

 Data Analytics
 Internet of Things (IoT)
 Cyber Security
 Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
 Cloud Computing

STUDENT REGISTRATION
 How do I register for IBM (ICE) Hackathon 2023?
Student can only register to the hackathon from https://ibmhackathons.theanalytix.in/
This process must be completed by 8th January 2023.

 When will I receive the Login Details?

After Successful Registration of the team, the Team leader will get the Login credentials by 11th
January 2023 to complete the LLD Submission process.

TEAM FORMATION

1) All team members should be from same university, no inter-universities teams are allowed.
However, members from different branches of the same universities are encouraged to form
a team.
2) Each team would mandatorily comprise of at least 4 members including the team leader.
3) There is no restriction on any gender ratio in a Team.
4) The team leader needs to enter the details on the Hackathon portal that include:
 Team Name & Number of Members in Team
 University Name
 Names of team leader and the rest 5 team members
 Gender of team leader and the rest 5 team members
 Email id of all the team members along with the team leader
 Mobile no. of all the team members along with the team leader
5) The team name should be unique and must not contain the name of your institute in any
form.

Low Level Design (LLD) SUBMISSION PROCESS

 The last date for team Registration is 8th January 2023 and LLD Submission on the Hackathon
portal is till 15th January 2023.
 LLD submission counter will start from 8th January 2023 and only 20 Submissions will be
submitted for a particular Problem Statement. Once the counter has all 20 Submissions, the
Problem Statements will freeze and no LLD submission will be allowed for the respective PS.
 Counter with the Problem Statement submitted numbers and Submissions left will be
displayed in the public domain just opposite to the Problem Statement and can be viewed
by anyone on https://ibmhackathons.theanalytix.in/submissions

 The “LLD” document can only be submitted Once. Kindly review before submitting the LLD.

 The last date for team registration is 8th January 2023 and LLD submission on Hackathon
portal is till 15th January 2023 only. No request will be entertained after the deadline.

LLD SELECTION CRITERIA

1) The ideas or solutions provided/developed/proposed by the team's must be new and must
not have been present in any previous event/program of any sort.

2) Post submission process, the LLD’s will be evaluated by experts. Evaluation criteria will
include novelty of the LLD, complexity, clarity and details in the prescribed format, feasibility,
practicability, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience and potential for future work
progression.

3) Total 40 Teams would be Selected for the Final Event.

SHORTLISTED IDEAS ANNOUNCEMENT

1) Notification about selected teams will be put up on Hackathon Portal on 24 th January 2023
and will also be sent to their respective Team Leader’s email IDs.
2) Teams are requested to be available for meetings, sessions and trainings during the
preparation phase; you will be notified about them in advance.
