Director of Nursing
1234 Main Street
Anytown, USA 5555

Dear Recipient:
I am a Certified Adult Gerontology-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in
nursing from Youngstown State University. I am contacting you in regards to the Acute Care
Nurse Practitioner, Medical Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner position posted Sunday May 21st
on the Bon Secour Talent webpage online.

I possess the qualification and education required for this position. I am currently working on a
Medical Intensive Care unit at a level one trauma center. Through my experience, I have gained
proficiency and familiarity with emergent medication titration and a fast-paced environment to
promote healing in very ill patients. I have experience in leadership roles by precepting new
graduate nurses and responding to “Rapid Response Teams” and “Code Blue” situations
throughout my hospital. I have set myself apart by assisting in regular bedside procedures such
as chest tube placement, bronchoscopy, and tracheostomy placements, to list a few. Practicing as
a bedside MICU nurse involved participating in difficult but important conversations with
patients, patient families, and medical doctors. This provided me with distinguishable
communications skills that I will continue through my practice as an Acute ICU Nurse
Practitioner. Although I enjoy working in my current position, I am looking to expand my
knowledge and experience as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

In this position, I would take full advantage to show you my passion as a healthcare provider and
how much of an asset I would be as part of your team. I am very interested in meeting with you
to further discuss my credentials and how my experience and education will benefit your
hospital. I am available anytime on my cell phone at 123-456-7891 or via email at
michaelanurse@gmail.com.

Thank you for you time and consideration. I look forward to meeting you.
Best Regards,

Michaela Huber, APRN-CNP
