Exam Preparation Tips for ESLCE

The following tips are taken from EduTech ICT Solutions Guideline 1/2023 of article
seven: General Examination preparation tips

To prepare well for the ESLCE, you should follow these steps:

Step 1: Review the competencies or specific objectives of each sub-unit in the textbook. These
are written at the beginning of each sub-unit and show what you are expected to learn and do.
Write down some points that you remember for each sub-unit and identify your strengths and
weaknesses. This will help you focus on the areas that need more attention.

Step 2: Read the summary of each unit and memorize the key terms. The summary gives an
overview of the main points and concepts in the unit, and the key terms are important words or
phrases that you should know.

Step 3: Answer the summary questions at the end of each unit in the textbook. These questions
test your understanding and application of the unit content. Check your answers with the ones
you gave before and see if you have improved or not. If you made any mistakes, try to
understand why and review the relevant sections.

Step 4: Practice with past national exams.

 Choose a national exam from a previous year that matches your program and
answer it within the time limit.
 Compare your answers with the answer keys if available, or discuss them with
your study group, teacher or tutor. Record your score and feedback.
 Analyze your errors and gaps in knowledge and revise those topics.
 Repeat this process with another national exam from a different year.
