SEARCH FOR MR. AND MS.

FOUNDATION 2023
GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

The search for Mr. and Ms. Foundation 2023 is part of the school’s two-day celebration of the 47 TH
Foundation Anniversary of Lupi National High School which will be held on April 27-28 2023. It is a fund-
raising activity to support school projects specifically, purchase of new set of television to be utilize as
classroom instructional materials. This will be participated in by the representatives in each section from
grade 7 to grade 12. Winners will be determined via signature campaign.

PURPOSE:
To promote school spirit and unity: an event that involves students from different grades and classes
that encourage a sense of community and belonging among students. Also, this is a search for outstanding
male and female students who shall serve as paragons of Lupinian ideals and values encompassing the aspect
of personality, beauty, talent, and social responsibility.

GENERAL RULES:
1. Each section from Grade 7 to Grade 12 must have one male and one female candidate. The advisers
shall be responsible for screening the candidates in accordance to the rules and guidelines set by the
organizer. the organizer will consider more than one candidates in each section
2. The contestants upon the endorsement of their respective adviser must fill-in the official entry form
on the date specified by the organizer.
3. Each grade level adviser shall accompany the candidates during their scheduled rehearsals, photo
shoot and other related activities that are duly endorsed and approved by the Office of the Principal.
4. Attires and costumes to be worn during the competition should be agreed upon to the pageant
committee head for screening and approval. Vulgarity of costumes and attires is strictly not allowed
and must conform to the Lupinian standards of prudence and conservatism.
5. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in cases of any
untoward behavior that would cause disturbance of the scheduled activity.
6. Mr. and Ms. Foundation will have its pre-pageant and pageant day period. Pre-pageant activity will
be the duration for the signature campaign (to determine who will bag the major awards), while
during the pageant day, candidates will only be competing on the following minor awards: Best in
Production number, Best in Creative Attire, Best in Sports Wear, Best in Q and A, Best in School
Uniform, Mr. and Ms. Photogenic, and People’s Choice Award (thru face book liking contest)
7. First and last canvassing of accumulated amount from the signature campaign will be conducted a
week before the pageant day.
8. The top 4 candidates who have the highest accumulated amount from the signature campaign shall
automatically crowned as the Mr. and Ms. Foundation, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and 3rd Runner-
up respectively. The amount raised by each candidate from the signature campaign shall be
distributed as follows:

9. Candidates are not allowed to have personal contacts with the sponsors and the board of judges.
10. The committee will not assume responsibilities for any loss or damage of items (cash, jewelry, etc.) of
the candidates.
11. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
12. The office of the Principal shall have the final decision regarding the contest guidelines, activities and
production treatment of the pageant.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. The candidate must be a bonafide student of Lupi NHS, Filipino citizen.
2. Must be single and no parental obligation.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Registration fee of 500.00 pesos per pair. Individual candidate (without partner) shall have a
registration fee of 300.00 pesos.
2. Deadline of Registration will be on March 17, 2023.
3. Duly accomplished official entry form.
4. Deadline of submission of accomplished official entry form will be on March 14, 2023.

MECHANICS AND CRITERIA FOR SPECIAL AND MINOR AWARDS


1. BEST IN PRODUCTION NUMBER
Candidates must wear denim jeans and any top (white color)
 Performance/showmanship- 40%
 Stage presence- 20%
 Mastery- 35%
 Audience Impact- 5%
TOTAL- 100%

2. BEST IN SPORTS ATTIRE


Each pair shall prepare a sport attire of their choice.
 Figure- 30%
 Sports Identity- 20%
 Poise and Bearing- 40%
 Overall Impact- 10%
TOTAL- 100%

3. BEST IN CREATIVE ATTIRE


Each pair will show off their best creative attire made with RECYCLED and/or INDIGENOUS materials
in line with the school’s WINS advocacy.
 Creativity and Ingenuity-30%
 Suitability/Use of Recycled/indigenous Materials- 20%
 Poise, bearing and projection-20%
 Stage presence-20%
 Overall impact-10%
TOTAL- 100%

4. BEST IN SCHOOL UNIFORM


Each pair will showcase their complete uniform during the portion.
 SMART Look (Compliance to the prescribed complete school uniform)-40%
 Poise, Bearing and Projection-30%
 Overall Impact-30%
 TOTAL- 100%

5. BEST IN Q AND A
Each pair will showcase their wit and grit in answering the questions. A set of random questions will
be given to the candidates prior to the pageant to give them time to prepare their answer.
 Wit and Content- 40%
 Stage Presence- 20%
 Projection and Delivery- 30%
 Overall Impact- 10%
TOTAL- 100%

6. MR. AND MS. PHOTOGENIC


Each pair shall wear their millennial attire and make up during the pictorial.
 Suitability/ Projection- 30%
 Beauty and Poise- 40%
 Captured personality or mood- 30%
TOTAL- 100%

7. PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD


People’s choice Award will be determine through the most likes on face book. Only heart reactions
will be counted.
