81mm E44-E
Mortar
The E44-E mortar incorporates features
of modern requirements and is capable
of firing all types of 81 mm mortar
rounds.
Its high accuracy and reliability, long
range of nearly 6 kilometres, high rate
of fire (maximum of 30 long-range
rounds/min), lightweight yet rugged
construction and ease of carriage by its
crew, quick deployment, simplicity of
operation and maintenance, great
lethality and versatility enhanced by the
wide range of standard and LONG-RANGE
ammunition make it a highly efficient,
powerful and important weapon in the
conduct of land operations on any type
of terrain.
Furthermore, this mortar incorporates a
significant safety feature by employing a
firing pin which can easily be retracted
in case of a misfire.
It is available in two versions which
differ only in the type of mount for the
sight and in the type of the sight itself.
The E44-E1 version is equipped with the
M53A1 sight while E44-E2 version is
equipped with the Swarovski A70-45
sight.
The barrel, which has a smooth Technical Data
fine-tolerance bore, is made of special
high-strength forged steel with good Mortar
