How to tie a Texas rig

This walk-through on how to tie a Texas rig is meant for intermediate-level fishermen

that are targeting bass.

What you need:

● Bullet weight - a weight with a hole in the center, allowing it to slide.

● Bass hook - a hook with a large J bend.

● Soft plastic bait - a rubbery bait that will wiggle while falling through the water.

Overview

To complete this knot, the user must first know how to tie a standard fishing knot. Also,

the user must have all materials on hand with a sharp object to trim the line after being finished.
1. Place the line through the top of the bullet weight.

2. Tie the hook to the line and trim the tag end.

3. Insert the hook through the nose of the bait half an inch and poke it through

the back.
4. Pull the whole hook through until the eye is at the nose and turn the hook to

bury the point into the plastic.

Now you are ready to cast out and catch your personal best bass!
