A. Daily Routine

1. Prayer
Christopher, kindly lead the prayer. (Let us bow our heads and feel the presence of

make this room litter free. If you see
some unnecessary litter, clear it out
now. Arrange your chairs properly.

You may now take your seats. Thank you Sir.

class? (The students will do the thumbs-up.)
That’s good to hear, give yourselves
a thumbs-up. / Who are the
absentees today?

4. Checking of Assignment
(The students will take out their copy or print
Last meeting, I gave you an out)
assignment to have an advance
reading about global warming.

Did you have your notes about

climate change? Yes, Sir!

You may take out your research

works or output if you print some, it
will help our learning process.

B. Motivation
To make our brains work we will
have an exercise that will surely
motivate you and improve your Yes, Sir!
language skills.

Do you know a Tongue Twister?

Very well, for our motivation we will

have a tongue twister game called
(The students will read the mechanics.)
“Change Phase”

The mechanics are simple. Mechanics

Everybody please read altogether. 1. The teacher will choose a Tongue
Twister to be show in the screen.
2. The students will read the tongue
twister after the teacher demonstrate
how to read it in proper way.
3. The trick is as the call bell ring the
teacher will decide if the class will read
the Tongue Twister in different phases.

Enjoy!

Yes, Sir

Do you understand our simple game?

So meaning this is not a competitive
game but don’t worry you will still Yes, Sir
have your prices later.

Ready Yes, Sir

Ok, I’ll read and demonstrate first You’ve no need to light a night-light
then you will follow understood. On a light night like tonight,
For a night-light’s light’s a slight light,
(teacher reveal the tongue twister) And tonight’s a night that’s light.

When a night’s light, like tonight’s light,

It is really not quite right
To light night-lights with their slights
On a light night like tonight.
(teacher will change phase every
turn)

C. Review and Recall

I believe all your tongue and jaw felt

that exercise huh!

Let’s have simple recall on the (students will answer attentively)

climate change.

Very good! Sir, Carbon Cycle is the absorption and

secretion of carbon from the atmosphere
So ___, what is carbon cycle? through the process of respiration and
photosynthesis.

Sir, Greenhouse effect is a natural process that

Very well said. warms the Earth’s surface. When the Sun’s
Next, what is greenhouse effect energy reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, some

absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases.

Sir it is the increased retaining process in the

atmosphere due an unusually large amount of

environmental problem.

Sir, is the gradual increase in the overall

Absolutely, Correct temperature of the earth's atmosphere
Alright, what is global warming? generally attributed to the greenhouse effect
caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide,
chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants.

Exactly class very good!

You really are well informed when it
comes to the factors that causes
climate change.

D. Presentation of the Lesson

Class there is famous quotation

stating that:
“The only thing that is always Yes, Sir
constant in the universe is
CHANGE” Because sir nothing is permanent.

Do you agree?

Why?
Exactly, nothing is permanent from
our inert self to our surroundings
everything is changing.
Our lesson today is something to
with change and this is the
controversial
Climate Change

E. Presentation of the Objectives

For us to be guided to our lesson let
me present to you our lesson (The students will read the objectives)
objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students must
have:
(Teacher will post the lesson 1. Identified the origin and cause of
objective)
climate change
Everybody please read. 2. Explained deeply the effects of
climate change and global climates
in the past
3. Appreciated the importance of
realizing the existence of climate
change by writing a short
reflection about climate change.

F. Discussion

Thank you!
Ok now listen from our previous
lesson we deepen our understanding
about the different factors that cause
climate change and we dig deep to
understand it. All of these factor lead
to this problem that we called Sir, Climate Change is long range change in
Climate Change. pattern of temperature, wind and precipitation
of a certain region or the entire planet. it can
What do you understand about last for decades or millions of years.
climate change ___?

Very Good.

Ok, look at this very photo of ancient

people that experience changes in the
climate.

(teacher post the picture) (The students will raise their hands.)

Sir, the picture is showing a man being

sacrifice by his fellow as an offering to their
god maybe.
What do you see or noticed?
Yes, ______

Very good, Thank You!

So you see, people from the past

blame their selves for the changes of
weather or climate and once this
happen a tribe member shall be
offered as an act asking forgiveness
to their faults, not knowing it is a
natural process of the earth.

But if you are going analyze that

foolishness before and compare it
today this gesture is very appropriate
for us, because today we humans
truly cause the climate to change.

Look at these pictures

(teacher will post the photos)

(teacher will ask students)

How do you understand this photo?

Sir those are infographics showing the

recklessness of human in their actions. The
activities that cause too much pain in the
nature affect not only a small piece of Earth
but affect it as a whole.
What can you notice to these
pictures?

Very good. Look at this last picture I

present to you.

What do you see?

Sir it is a timeline of climate changing from
the ancient times to the present showing the
never ending changes in pattern of the climate
of the globe for millions of years. It reflects the
evolution of time as well as the changes of era
and climate.

Sir, because human carelessness climate is in

its hottest point because of too much carbon
emission and secretion due human activities.
What can you notice on the present
day? Yes, Sir

Very Good.
It seems that you really
understanding the lesson very well.

Ok for me to prove how much do you

understand our lesson please go to
your assigned group and put your
chairs on the side and form a circle.

You are four groups right?

I will give you an envelope each what

I want you to do is this.

(teacher will distribute the envelope)

Inside the envelope is like a puzzle
that you have to put together to see
the picture.

Once you put together all the pieces

post it on board and explain what do
you see on photo.

Only one will represent the group and

explain.

I’ll give you three minutes to prepare Yes, Sir

and present your work.
Yes, Sir
Understood class. (class presentation)
Ok start Class

Please do not remove your photo

keep it posted on board.

G. Application/Valuing (students clap)

Ok, thank you class for a beautiful

presentation.
Let’s clap our hands to all the
presenters and to the group.

Now go back to your seat and get one

sheet of paper.
Looking at the four photos write a
reflection about what you saw in the
photos and answer these questions?

1. What does the photos tell us?

2. What are the things you can do to
stop these from becoming reality?
3. As a student what can you do to
make climate change become Yes, Sir
helpful in the next generation and
will not cause destruction? Student will read his/her work
I will give five minutes.
Finish?
Alright pass it.

(teacher will select a paper and have

it read by the owner)

Let’s clap our hands to ____

H. Generalization
(students were called will answer the question)
Alright class, we are almost done
again;

1. What is climate change?

2. What are the cause and effect of
climate change?
3. What are the factors that
contributes to climate change?
4. What can we do to lesson this
effect of climate change?

Very good!

I. Evaluation

Direction:
Get ¼ sheet of paper and answer
these following question on screen.
A.
1. The long range change in pattern
of temperature wind and precipitation
is called ________.

2- 5 What are the factors that causes Yes, Sir

Climate Change?
B.

change? Explain briefly (5points) Reference: Alumaga et al, (2014). Science and
Technology 9. Vibal Group, Inc., Quezon City,

Pass your paper.

J. Assignment
Class, get your notebooks.
Everybody please copy your
assignments. None Sir!

Have an advance reading about the
