Elements of an Architectural Plan

1. Data Table

The first element is the data box,

this is located on the left side of
the plan and is the one that
personalizes the project, since the
data captured is important. It must
contain: Orientation, location
sketch, symbology, name of the
project owner, type of plan, name
of the project, project address
(including street, number,
neighborhood and city), scale of the plan, date,
name of the person who made it. the project,
key to the plan.

2. North

The North is the symbol that locates the exact

coordinates of the land where it is intended to
be built, that is, the
orientation.
3. Scale
The scale is the
representation of the
drawing in a real
dimension, it is responsible
for reducing or expanding
it proportionally to the true
measurements.
4. Axis
The axis is the
guide line to
locate the walls
and the
construction
elements, generally they are
numbers and capital letters enclosed
in a circle; these are used to mark
the lines, build or calculate a project;
some go horizontally and others
vertically, the one with the greatest
number of elements is assigned the numbers.
5. Dimensions
Another element is the dimensions, these are measurements in centimeters or meters
that indicate (width, length or height), they can be found horizontally, vertically or
diagonally; This line marks the limits to know from which point to which point is being
measured and you can find them inside or outside
the walls.
6. Walls
The walls represent the division of spaces or load
support; There are two types: load-bearing walls,
which support other construction elements, and
dividing walls, which separate spaces.

7. Access
An architectural plan must also show the
accesses, since they show the main
entrance to the
property.

8. Windows
Another element
are the windows, the space where they will be located must be
indicated, they also allow to locate the ventilation and lighting of
the space.

9. Doors
It is also important to indicate
the appropriate place where the doors will be placed
and the swing or direction in which they will open.

10. Furniture
Finally, the furniture
must be marked
and where it will be
placed, this will help to size the space
