Augmented Reality (AR) :

Augmented reality is a technology that uses computer vision to superimpose digital

information or virtual objects onto the real world. AR systems use cameras to
capture the real world environment, and then use computer vision algorithms to
analyze and interpret the images. AR is becoming increasingly popular with the
development of more advanced computer vision techniques and hardware, such as
smartphones and wearable devices.

Super-resolution imaging (SRI):

Super-resolution imaging is a technique used in computer vision to enhance the
resolution of low-resolution images. This technique uses advanced algorithms to
combine multiple low-resolution images of the same scene to create a single, high-
resolution image.Super-resolution imaging is an active area of research in computer
vision.

Optical character recognition (OCR):

Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is a technology that uses computer vision to
convert printed or handwritten text into digital text that can be processed by a
computer. OCR works by analyzing the shape and structure of the characters in an
image and matching them to a database of known characters.

Self Driving Vehicles:

Computer vision plays a critical role in enabling self-driving vehicles to operate
safely and effectively. Self-driving vehicles use a range of sensors, including
cameras, lidar, and radar, to gather information about their surroundings. The
computer vision algorithms analyze this sensor data to identify and track objects
such as vehicles, pedestrians, and road signs.

Facial recognition:
Computer vision is a critical component of facial recognition technology. Facial
recognition systems use computer vision algorithms to analyze and interpret the
unique features of an individual's face. Computer vision is used to detect and
track faces in images in the system.

Healthcare:
Computer vision has many applications in healthcare, including medical imaging
analysis, disease diagnosis, and treatment planning. Computer vision algorithms can
be used to analyze medical images, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, to identify
and detect abnormalities and provide more accurate and efficient diagnoses.
