The news is all about some of the people in Quiapo, Manila making a profit by selling pirated DVDs. The OMB
confiscated almost 800 sacks of pirated DVDs worth over P100M pesos.

The crime was committed by the suspect Rainier Tamayo was pirating movies and uploading them to his
website after the original movie was published so he can gain a profit of around $500 by putting
advertisement on his website.

The compliant in this case is the Motion Pictures Association(MPA). They tried to complain that Rainier
Tamayo copying/pirating movies and re-uploading it to his website to gain profit.
