Past Progressive tense
To form the past progressive tense in Spanish, you need the following: Subject + imperfect tense
of the verb estar + another verb in the progressive tense, which ends in -ando, -iendo, or -yendo.

Present Progressive tense


It's the Spanish term for the combination of estar + gerundio (like the English equivalent ending
in -ing). Although Spanish doesn't technically have a present progressive tense, the perífrasis
verbal plays a similar functional role to the present progressive in another language.

Past participle
The past participle in Spanish, all you have to do is drop the ending (-ar, -er or -ir) from the
Infinitive Verb and then add either -ado (if the ending of the verb was -ar) or -ido (if the ending
of the verb was either -er or -ir).
