Summer Internship Batch 2021
Summer Internship Batch 2021
Introduction
Internship training is a very vital component of UG programme; which gives students a bird’s eye view of
the corporate world/civic society and prepares them for the challenges that lie ahead in their future. Good
and sincere work done during this training will facilitate students with their final job placement, help
deliver value to family business and also prepare for the future higher education. Summer internship is to
enable students to remain in touch with the society and business world and gain some practical insight to
theoretical concepts learnt during the preceding academic year.
• For the first year students, the summer internship can be with a non-governmental organization
(NGO) or with a Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME) near to student’s home location.
For continuous guidance of all students, a faculty guide will be allocated. Faculty Guide will be the main
point of link, for the entire duration of summer internship, guidance on reports and final evaluation.
Detailed Instructions:
1. The duration and the timeline of the internship is 6 to 8 weeks starting from 9 May, 2022 & ending
on 30 June, 2022.
2. All interns are advised to be in touch with his/her faculty guide regularly. It is mandatory to provide a
weekly feedback to the faculty guide through e-mail. Feedback is about progress of your internship
training/experience and any difficulties encountered.
3. A letter from the departmental office requesting the student to be allowed internship in the
NGO/MSME will be issued on request in the first week of May.
4. Students must undergo the training with proper discipline, punctuality and in an ethical manner.
5. Students will write a brief report of 35-50 pages on the activities in which they participated to gain
the experience. The hard bound (Maroon Colour) copy of the internship report needs to be deposited
with the guide on or before 05 July, 2022.
6. All students will appear for a viva-voce to explain the work done. The overall assessment will be of
three credits.
7. Notwithstanding the source of internship generation, all students must include an offer letter on a
company letterhead, signed by the head of organization with the final report. The Offer Letter must
confirm duration of the internship, stipend or incentive, name of the training manager with email
ID and telephone number and location of the internship.
