B. SENTENCE COMPONENTS
u To make a correct sentence, we need to put parts of speech in the correct positions. These
positions are called sentence components.
v There are 4 basic sentence components:

INTRANSITIVE VERB
SUBJECT TRANSITIVE VERB OBJECT ADVERBIAL
BE COMLEMENT

- A Subject: The topic of the sentence.


- A Verb: An action or a state of the topic.
- An Object: The recipient of the action.
- A Complement: What or How the Subject
- An adverbial: The reference (Time, Place, Manner, Frequency) of the sentence.
