Statement of Purpose

Introduction:
My name is Yogesh Bist, and I was born on September 4, 2004, to Damber Bahadur
Bist and Gomati Kumari Awashti Bist. I completed my schooling at Wisdom
Academy in 2020, achieving a GPA of 3.15. Throughout my early education, I
developed a strong interest in science and mathematics, which motivated me to pursue
a secondary education focused on these subjects. Consequently, I enrolled in D.A.V
College, where I completed my intermediate level studies in the science faculty in
2022, earning a GPA of 2.85. Following high school, I took the IELTS exam and
obtained an overall score of 6 after joining an IELTS class.

Reasons for Choosing Australia:

During my search for universities abroad, I extensively researched Australia and its
educational system. Australia stood out to me for several reasons. It boasts
internationally recognized universities with top-tier qualifications and offers
numerous scholarships. Additionally, seven Australian universities are among the top
100 in the world, according to the QS World Rankings, with over 1,100 education
institutions offering 22,000 study options. The cultural diversity, high-quality
education, renowned lifestyle, and welcoming attitude towards international students
in Australia further solidified my decision. Moreover, Australia's education system
ensures internationally recognized degrees and qualifications, while also providing
opportunities for students to lead active lifestyles while studying.

Reasons for Choosing Bachelor's in Information Technology (BIT):

Bachelor's in Information Technology (BIT) has always captivated my interest and
remained my dream since my college days. As someone with a deep passion for
science and technology, pursuing a degree in information technology aligns perfectly
with my aspirations. The IT field offers immense opportunities due to its high demand
and growing industry. By enrolling in this course, I can work for companies
worldwide, both physically and virtually. This program will not only equip me with
the knowledge and skills necessary for success but also offer boundless opportunities
for continuous learning and staying updated in this technology-driven era.

Future Career Goals:

As the eldest son, I hold a responsibility to support and take care of my family.
Hence, upon completion of my studies, I plan to return home to Nepal. Fortunately,
Nepal has numerous opportunities for IT professionals. While website and application
development companies have been prevalent, the presence of international IT
companies engaged in projects such as healthcare analytics, artificial intelligence,
machine learning, and data analytics has grown. I aspire to begin my career as a
software developer, specializing in Java or Python, with renowned companies like
Cedar Gate, Verisk, and Logpoint. As an entry-level developer, I anticipate earning
around NPR 40,000.00, with the potential to earn over NPR 100,000.00 as a senior
developer.

In the long term, I envision establishing my own IT company alongside like-minded

individuals. Through this venture, I aim to train aspiring IT students, thereby
contributing to the creation of a skilled workforce. As a citizen of Nepal, I feel a duty
to promote positive change, no matter how small or significant. Nepal lags behind in
terms of economy and technology due to a lack of skilled labor and outdated
structures. By leveraging my education and experiences gained in Australia, I intend
to return to Nepal and work in a supervisory role, bringing about positive
technological advancements and fostering a better understanding of different cultures
among the younger generation.

Ultimately, my primary focus remains my family, as their support and well being are
of utmost importance to me. Hence, I am committed to pursuing my career in Nepal.
