Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what

extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
It is argued that governments should use the money on railways instead of roads. I
totally agree with this opinion because railways are more convenient for seeing
nature, saving money for daily costs and economic growth.
First of all, funding railways improves green travel because people can see the
natural things when taking trains. Constructing roads encourages an increase in car
use and accidents. However, upgrading railways by the government can outcome
in a reduction of not only fuel but also an individual's daily expenses. In addition to
this, environmentally conscious is restored as a citizen's responsibility when
exploring the country by train.
Secondly, economic rise and opportunities have been brought to a country’s
development sector. Building railways to connect one town to another is seen as
rapid trading. Furthermore, international relations with countries are more
powerful economically because of having updated railways. For instance, Belt and
Road Initiative by China was also included in raising railways. The plan is
advantageous for many countries, in particular poor countries. There are many
controversies about BRI or B&R; despite this, it will lead to economic
improvement fastly, but also living standards. As a result, people can escape from
the poverty line: a person's income is less than US $2 per day defined by UNDP.
To conclude, government spending on railways should be rather than spending on
roads. Investment in creating railways boosts green travel and economic changes,
and another point is creating an individual's life better by cutting travel costs rather
than using cars on a daily basis.
