CONSOLATION

"Forsothe oure Lord Jhesu Crist him silf, and God and oure fadir, the which louede ȝou and ȝaf
euerlasting comfort and good hope in grace." - 2 Thes. II:16

The Latin cōnsōlātiō means “a comforting, or putting in good heart.1”

En route to China, starting from Peru, after a five-month journey, First Viscount Saint Alban (FVSA)
was stuck in the midst of the greatest “Wildernesse of the Waters in the World”; a wilderness in in the
middle of Pacific. (A mind-blowing AOF#8 narrative revolves around the relationship between FVSA,
His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council and His Majesty himself; more on this later. It will
suffice to say that the central character of AOF#8 narrative is Lord Verulam! So much so, AOF#8 is all
about Lord Verulam! I am not exaggerating this. That said, an hypothesis like this requires clearance
from many a people.). Stuck with no food to eat - A “good spare” of “Victualls failed” them. The
dread is summarized as, “We gave our Selves for lost Men, and prepared for Death.” I do not think
there is any allegory here. With the strong winds taking them in a different direction, they could not
even go back to Peru. And with no food, in the middle of Pacific, Lord Verulam and his team gave
themselves for “Lost Men.”! Citing only the B’s from the Marinere,

“And all the boards did shrink;

Nor any drop to drink.”

Yet, they did “lift up their harts” to The Coward who "sheweth his wonders in the deepe". Lord
Verulam says, the Coward’s greatest, and probably the only, contribution in this grand creation
narrative is, in the beginning, He discovered the Face of the Deepe. And brought forth Dry-land.
And, by a divine extension of the logic, he will discover a dry-land for them who are in the Deepe.
Deepe, here, means people who are extremely vulnerable, given their situation.

Two things:

1. “To confess god” means to let him know that you are aware of his ways of working. In other words,
letting him know that he is not all that cool and mysterious. Lord Verulam is doing exactly that here:
“Let us plan a trip from Peru to China. Five months into the ocean, the victuals will fail us; we will be
stranded; winds will change direction. And this, propositionally should mean the “Deepe” – middle of
the Pacific and stranded. He will shew his wonders here.” He must have said it to the T – and this is
called “confessing god”. Not many know of this.

2. Jesus has an organization, which is called Primitive Church in AOF#6. One of the main functions of
this organization is to reach out to people in the wilderness. Wilderness, by interpretation, means any
place without law. Lord Verulam did not plan a trip to China, but to “Islands and Continents that
hitherto were not come to light.” If you remember the Golden Gate analogy, the Large Plates, the
Pacific, are not for everyone to read. The Small Plates, the Bay, will suffice.
