Service Offerings
An Internet Leased Line or ILL is a premium internet connectivity service that is dedicated and
provides un-contended symmetrical speeds for uploads and downloads. This translates to
better and more secure experience for your business. This translates to better and more
secure experience.
Both Internet Leased Line and broadband provide Internet access at a fixed subscription cost.
The differences are: Internet Leased Line is a dedicated connection between your premises
and the local exchange. It has a defined bandwidth and offers identical upload and download
speeds and is not subject to contention with other users (sharing). Broadband is not a
dedicated connection. It has variable bandwidth and is asymmetric, meaning the experience
between uploads & downloads is not the same. Also, it is a shared bandwidth with speeds up
to the committed level, subject to best efforts.
5) How many IP addresses can one get with each Internet Leased Line?
Jio provides /29 IPv4 pool (eight IPs of which six are usable) and /64 IPv6 pool for dual-stack
address configuration i.e., the network can be configured with both IPv4 and IPv6.
6) What routing configuration protocol does Internet Leased Line support?
Internet Leased Line supports static and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) as a routing protocol
for efficiently delivering internet traffic.
Any layer 3 (L3) device or router that is compatible with IPv4 & IPv6. It also supports SNMP v2
or higher versions.
Yes, customer is free to configure requirements related to IPSec or similar protocols at your
end.
Jio offers multiple last-mile options. These include wireline options like Fiber Ethernet and
Fiber GPON. In wireless, last mile options can be on UBR. All last mile selection is basis
feasibility at the required location.
10) What is the default IPv4 assignment with Internet Leased Line?
As a standard practice, Internet Leased Line comes with /30 WAN and /29 LAN IP range of IPv4
assignments.
11) What is the default IPv6 assignment with Internet Leased Line?
As a standard practice, Internet Leased Line IPv6 comes with /126 WAN and /64 LAN IP range
of assignment.
12) Can customer have IPv4 and IPv6 run in parallel on Internet Leased Line network?
Yes, Internet Leased Line supports dual-stack configuration on IPv4 and IPv6, making it
possible to run both in parallel. This gives you the advantage to use technology that supports
both formats and helps retrieve configuration while enabling migration between networks and
applications.
Extended LAN on Internet Leased Line is not a standard offering. However, if there is a
requirement, the same can be evaluated and offered, on a case to case basis.
14) What are Jio’s peering arrangements?
Peering refers to the exchange of data directly between service providers rather than through
the Internet. Jio has peering arrangements with major content delivery networks, including
Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and Akamai, to name a few.
15) What internet security offering can I avail with Internet Leased Line?
Internet Leased Line comes with network-level security, in-built in the architecture. Also, more
security-based services are already under development and will be available soon.
Yes. Higher bandwidth is provisioned at the network end and customer can use it whenever
customer has the business need

Please note that scanned copies of documents such as POI/ CAF/ POA should be less than 2
MB each, or if submitting a cumulative copy of all documents together should be size ~2 MB.
Billing address is the one on which you would receive the physical bills and installation address
is the location where service is being offered or initiated.
Primary and Secondary Lead has to be created on the burst b/w (Highest B/w ) for feasibility
check. Ie., if customer ask for 100 Mbps burstable B/w and Base b/w is 10 Mpbs, the user has
to initiate feasibility for 100 Mbps b/w.
Post Feasibility confirmation , user has to create Opportunity in D365 System for Commercial
Approval.Burst B/w has to be captured in B/w field and in remarks section user has to enter
mandatory the following Text:- “ Customer requires – 95th Percentile , Base B/w : XX
Mbps,Burstable B/w :YYY Mbps, 95th Percentile Burstable B/w Charges @Rs. XX per
month/per Mbps”.
32) Is there a change in the Proposal generation & CF in case of burstable bandwidth ?
Yes, there are few changes as highlighted below. Post Commercial approval, in JEP system user
has to create PQ
Customer Service
34) Where can customer find details on service performance for ILL?
Getting details on internet service performance is very easy. Customer can access to data &
services at all times via the Self-Care portal. Here customer can find information on the
performance of his/her services as well. Customer also has the freedom & option of raising

the land.
36) If customer has his / her own router, does Jio manages it and provide network reports?
We do not manage third-party routers. However, you can still get Internet Leased Line access
for all standard reports on bandwidth utilization, latency and packet delivery on the Self-Care
portal. This is subject to the router meeting the compatibility requirements.
38) Is there any option of giving usage-based billing on Internet Leased Line?
Yes, Customer has an option to select burstable bandwidth which is usage based
39) How many bills will customer get in case of burstable bandwidth?
Customer will get 2 bills in case of burstable bandwidth. One for the base bandwidth which will
be advance rental as per bil plan. 2nd will be arrear which will be monthly bill generated at the
end of the month based on the extra bandwidth usage as per burstable bandwidth
methodology
40) How will customer be billed for my extra usage in case he/she opt for burstable
bandwidth?
For extra bandwidth usage billing for a month, bandwidth usage data will be recorded at every
5 minutes interval, each for an upload and download. The higher value between uploaded and
downloaded data for each record is considered as bandwidth usage. Each month’s records will
be sorted as per decreasing order of bandwidth usage data.
Then peak 5% records will be discounted, i.e. the top 5% of the records are discarded for the
billing from the rest 95% of the data, highest bandwidth (which is 95 percentile of all the data
of the month) is considered for billing. Difference between 95th percentile abd base bandwidth
will be multiplied by the per Mbps rate to arrive at the monthly burstable usage charges .
