BARBEQUE REUNION

Dashing into the summers,our family travelled to a reunion

barbeque. This year I was so excited as all my cousins and relatives
were there, no one was missing…. The white, twelve-seater bus was
surrounded with laughter, giggles and gossips. I already was thinking
about the lip-smacking barbequed cottage cheese with chipotle
covered…

Finally, we had arrived our destination where all of us travelled the

very first time in the year 2012. Except my uncle and aunt all of us
played games, did a little chitter chatter since it had been a long-time
meeting all of them. There was a funny kind of floaty-fluttery-fuzzy-
fizzy feeling inside my chest. There was silence everywhere except
the warbling of tropical birds as they flitted across the green
landscapes. Uncle rich and aunt Richie were grilling the soft cottage
cheese along with its companions; bell peppers, onion and tomatoes.

The sun shone brilliantly spreading a golden glow and filtered

through the clouds that drifted across the clear blue sky, and the
water in the pond that laid silently started glittering invitingly.“
Everyone comeback here, the barbeque is ready.” Called uncle rich.
All of us ran back to the place where the bus was, just next to it was
the barbeque area. Slowly and steadily, the sunset filled the entire
sky with a deep color of rubies setting the clouds ablaze.

The garnishing, so meticulous; the smell, so alluring; that my taste

buds began to tingle as the fathomed the unimaginable flavors
infused in them. The mozzarella cheese melted into the crust
creating a stretchy feeling. Everyone enjoyed the barbeque as well as
the reunion. This was the best reunion we had ever had.
