SUBJECT : COVID-19 PREVENTION AND CONTROL AT THE WORKPLACE

To ensure the safety of our employees threat brought about by the Coronavirus to the entire populace
and to control its transmission, we need to strengthen our preventive initiatives and devise our
precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our employees.

As a precautionary measure at the workplace, implementation of the following guidelines is advised:

A. REDUCING TRANSMISSION OF COVID-19

Prior to entrance in office/building:


 Wear facemasks always and remove the same only when eating or drinking.
 Accomplish daily the health symptoms questionnaire and submit to the designated safety
officer prior to entry.
 Temperature will be checked and recorded in the health symptoms questionnaire.
For any personnel with temperature > 37.5 0C, even after a 5-minute rest, or if their
response in the questionnaire needs further evaluation by the Company Nurse, the person
shall be not allowed to enter the premises.
 Spray alcohol/sanitizers to both hands and disinfectant shoes in the disinfecting mat at the
entrance.

Inside the office:

 Clean your workstation and sanitize the keyboard, mouse and immediate surfaces you will
come and contact with before you use them. Disinfection requires a mixture of bleach
(1/12) and water (11/12). Repeat disinfection at will.
 Avoid face to face conversations whenever possible. If required, maintain physical
distancing precautions.
 Use the intercom/LAN Messaging/chat for communicating with coworkers.
 Observe proper cough etiquette.
 Sanitize the doorknob and/or handle of any door you will touch before and after touching
them.
 Inside the comfort room, again, sanitize the flush handle, the bidet and faucet before and
after touching them. Wash your hands properly with soap and water each time you use the
toilet.
 Bring your own beverage. Water Dispenser is suspended as this is one source of
transmission between employees.
 Observe physical distancing even while eating.

B. SCREENING OF EMPLOYEES
 Asymptomatic employees should fill-up a health declaration form and be screened for
symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, colds and other respiratory symptoms, and/or
relevant history of travel or exposure within the last 14 days.
 Undergoing Rapid Antibody test or Swab Test for employees will be required before returning to
work.

Rapid-Antibody testing can be conducted every 14 days:

• All close contacts shall be isolated and tested with RT-PCR as
well.
Negative • May continue working with usual precautions.
C. REDUCING RISK OF INFECTION FROM COVID -19

If the Employee is sick at home and/or who may have been exposed to a confirmed COVID19
positive, whether asymptomatic or symptomatic:
 Stay at home and limit contact with others. Conduct a 14-day Self Quarantine.
 Inform immediate supervisor and Company Nurse
 Monitor yourself for flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, colds, sore throat and
muscle pain. Seek appropriate medical care if there is persistent fever and when
difficulty of breathing has started.
 Coordinate with Company Nurse regarding daily monitoring and assistance with HMO
for swab testing.
 Contact tracing will be conducted for close contacts (any individual within 6 feet of an
infected person for at least 15 minutes) of confirmed Covid-19 positive. Swab testing is
recommended for all close contacts of confirmed or probable COVID-19 patients.
 Certificate of 14-day Quarantine Completion from LGU or Negative Test results and Fit
to Work will be required upon return to work.

If the Employee is confirmed COVID-19 positive:


 Inform immediate supervisor and Company Nurse
 Continue conducting Self quarantine upon the advice of your doctor and LGU.
 Coordinate with Company Nurse regarding daily monitoring for temperature and other
symptoms that may occur. Company Nurse shall report to LGU/DOH (as required) for
contact tracing and monitoring.
 Contact tracing will be conducted for close contacts (any individual within 6 feet of an
infected person for at least 15 minutes) of confirmed Covid-19 positive. Swab testing is
recommended for all close contacts of confirmed or probable COVID-19 patients.
 Repeat swab test upon completion of quarantine or if advised by your doctor.
 Certificate of 14-day Quarantine Completion from LGU or Negative Test results and Fit
to Work will be required upon return to work.

If the employee is sick or has fever but is not suspected to have COVID-19 (ex., urinary
infection, wound infection, or any diseases not related to lungs or respiratory tract)
 Inform immediate supervisor and Company Nurse
 Stay at home and keep away from work or crowds.
 Seek medical help to confirm your diagnosis.
 Present Medical Certificate and fit to work upon return to work.

D. DECONTAMINATION OF WORKPLACE
The office shall undergo disinfection by professional sanitation services utilizing an appropriate
disinfectant. Work may resume in the office, 24 hours after the disinfection of the work area.
Disinfection requires a mixture of bleach (1/12) and water 11/12)
a. HOURLY — frequently touched surfaces
b. DAILY — HOURLY + Floors and Walls
c. WEEKLY — HOURLY + DAILY + Immediate Perimeter
