A.M. is the first half of the day.
We call it as Morning.
It starts at midnight and ends at noon.
A.M. stands for Ante Meridiem ( in
Latin)
In Latin ‘ante’ means before and
‘meridiem’ means noon.
So A.M., just means ‘before noon’.
What is P.M. ?
P.M. is the second half of the day.
We call it as afternoon and evening.
It starts at noon and ends at midnight.
P.M. stands for Post Meridiem ( in Latin)
In Latin ‘post’ means after and
‘meridiem’ means noon.
So P.M., just means ‘ after noon’.
