INTRODUCTION

Electric field intensity E, is the force that a unit positive charge experiences when placed in
an electric field. The electric field behaves in the same way as any other vector field. It exerts
a force in response to a stimulus and measures force in units of time's inverse stimulus. When
charge is present in any form, an electric field is linked with each point in space. The value of
E, also known as electric field strength, expresses the magnitude and direction of the electric
field. Electric fields are significant in many areas of physics, and they are used in electrical
technology on a daily basis.
OBJECTIVES

 To analyze the acceleration, velocity, kinetic energy and position of the particle.

 To learn how to use MATLAB software

 To learn how to read the data from the software

PROCEDURE

1.Firstly we need to open MATLAB software and write the coding as the figure 1 shows
which computes the acceleration, velocity, kinetic energy and position of particle.

2.Next that we need to find the acceleration of the particle using the Newton’s second law of
motion. After do the calculation we get the value x,y,z which is (18,15,0).

3.Record/write the result after run the program.

4. By computing the results using MATLAB software and verify the answers via manual
calculation.Answer all the questions given.

DISCUSSION
CONCLUSION

In conclusion, we can conclude that in this experiment we learnt how the magnetic field, B,
works, which is that it creates a magnetic field around itself when there is charge moving or
in motion. So, the goal of this experiment is to determine particle acceleration, velocity,
kinetic energy, and charge location. Our team performed the calculations as well as the
MATLAB software calculations. Even though we experienced an error problem early in the
coding process, we were able to acquire the answer by following the procedures and coding
processes from the lab sheet. When we do this we automatically learn how to run a code in
MATLAB software. When the answer of manual calculation and MATLAB software is the
same we can conclude that this experiment is successful and our calculation is correct. In
short, we can say that electric field is useful in all our daily lifes.
