My household duties:

Of course, everyone has their own responsibilities at home. For example, a dad is the person who
earns money. Mother usually do housework: prepare food, clean the house. Children have simple
responsibilities: wash the dishes, dust the furniture.

I don’t have a lot of responsibilities, but I am growing up and there are more and more of them. I
have to make my bed in the morning. If no one is at home, then I need to cook my own food or to
warm up something which is cooked already. When I come home from school, I have lunch, then I
sweep and wash the floor in my room if it’s necessary. Then I go shopping.

On weekends, usually there are more things to do. First, on Saturday I have to go to the market and
help my mother to carry her bags. We buy a lot of food for the whole week, and within a week we
buy the most necessary things: bread, milk, sour cream, etc. Then I help my mother hang the clothes
on the balcony after washing. These are the responsibilities I have.

Children have had certain responsibilities for a long time. There were no certain things in the past
that help us now. That’s why children had to chop wood for the stove, carry water from a well, etc.
Their parents were busy with housegold duties for the same reason.

So, family responsibilities have existed for a long time, they exist now and everyone has them either
living alone or with a family.
