Medieval Period The church is the main
characteristic would be to

church achieves its greatest
prestige and power because
it is considered the only
well-organized and
hierarchical institution.

Greek Period For the ancient Greeks, vases


were mostly functional
objects made to be used, not
just admired. They used
ceramic vessels in every
aspect of their daily lives: for
storage, carrying, mixing,
serving, and drinking, and as
cosmetic and perfume
containers.

Roman Period Roman Art comprises of
architecture, it was regarded
as the highest forms of
Roman Art. They invented
concrete, perfected the arch,
and constructed bridges that
remain in use today.

Renaissance Period Renaissance art, painting,


sculpture, architecture,
music, and literature
produced during the 14th,
15th, and 16th centuries in
Europe under the combined
influences of an increased
awareness of nature, a
revival of classical learning,
and a more individualistic
view of man.

Renaissance Period The Renaissance art shows


people's emotions. During
the Renaissance, oil-painting
was first used. This is just one
of the many different
influences on modern art.

Greek Period The potential energy


expressed in this sculpture's
tightly wound pose,
expressing the moment of
stasis just before the release,
is an example of the
advancement of Classical
sculpture from Archaic. The
torso shows no muscular
strain, however, even though
the limbs are outflung.

Renaissance Period Renaissance paintings and


arts are more for letting out
creativity and exploring new
art styles.
