Objective:
 To understand the construction of a basic clamper circuit.
 Learn the use of clamper circuits.
 Understand the basic working of clamper circuit.

Theory:
Clamper Circuit:
A clamper circuit is an electronic circuit that shifts the DC level of an input signal to a different
DC level. It adds a DC voltage to the input signal, so that the output signal has a DC level that is
different from the input signal. This circuit does not affect the Peak-to-Peak value, it just clamps
the input signal hence the name Clamper Circuit. The circuit consists of a diode, capacitor, and
resistor.
Positive Clamping:
When the Clamping adds a positive DC value.
Negative Clamping:
When the circuit adds a negative DC value.

Applications of Clamper Circuit:

In simple words, the clamper circuit clamps the voltage to increases its amplitude, therefore, it
is mostly used as a voltage multiplier. Here are some applications of the clamper circuit.
 It is used as a voltage multiplier.
 It is used for improving the reverse recovery time.
 It is used for removing the distortion in the signal.
 It is also used as test equipment.

Conclusions:
Muhammad Usman:
In conclusion, the clamper circuit is a useful tool in electronics for shifting the DC level of an
input signal to a different level. It can be used in a variety of applications such as in video signal
processing and pulse shaping. The basic circuit design using a diode, capacitor, and resistor is
simple and easy to implement, making it accessible to beginners in electronics. By providing a
constant DC level, the clamper circuit helps improve the quality of signal processing and can
help prevent signal distortion. Overall, the clamper circuit is an important and versatile
component in the field of electronics.

Muhammad Ibrahim:
In conclusion, the clamper circuit is a versatile and practical tool for signal conditioning and DC
level shifting in electronics, utilizing a diode and capacitor to maintain a signal at a fixed voltage
level without altering its waveform. With a range of applications, from video and audio signal
processing to power supply circuits and instrumentation, understanding the clamper circuit's
operation and characteristics enables designers and engineers to use it effectively for optimal
results.
Zorain Haider:
In summary, the clamper circuit is a fundamental circuit in electronics that is used to shift the DC
level of a signal to a desired voltage level without distorting its waveform. Its simple design,
using a diode and capacitor, makes it a useful tool for a variety of applications, including signal
processing and control systems. The clamper circuit's versatility and effectiveness make it a
valuable addition to any designer's toolkit.
Waleed Nasir:
To sum up, the clamper circuit is a basic yet effective electronic circuit that enables DC level
shifting without affecting the signal waveform. By utilizing a diode and capacitor to hold the
signal at a specific voltage level, the clamper circuit finds applications in various fields such as
signal processing, power supplies, and control systems. Understanding the operation and features
of the clamper circuit is essential for designers and engineers who want to achieve precise signal
conditioning.
