The urgent need to repair the damage caused by industrial waste has become a necessity for the

continuation of human existence and human life, which is under threat and facing the catastrophic
consequences of this change through climate change and the loss of billions of metric tons of ice in the
Arctic and Antarctic continents, in addition to the erosion of the ozone layer and greenhouse gases and the
increase in their polluting emissions to the atmosphere. With ocean acidification and pollution, drought,
desertification, deforestation, vegetation and forest removal, these results and phenomena greatly
.affected the lives of humanity and other living organisms as a result of climate change
UN Secretary-General António Guterres confirmed this fact in his speech to the 24th UN Conference of the
Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24) when he said, "We are in
big trouble," and that to miss this opportunity to stop climate change "would not only be immoral, but
"suicide".(United Nations [UN] 2018)
This is an affirmation of the depth of the humanitarian crisis resulting from climate change, which requires
effective practical and scientific solutions from all countries, governments, individuals, peoples, companies
and non-governmental organizations, which are focused on (sustainable development), which the
Secretary-General of the United Nations has made a realistic method and an important and global project
to shift towards a green economy, address the large emissions of greenhouse gases, erode the ozone layer,
.and shift towards clean and environmentally friendly technology
Sustainable development has worked 17 goals specialized in confronting and solving the world's problems,
the most important of which is Goal 13 of Sustainable Development Goals is directly focused on action to
address climate change and its impacts. A changing climate poses a significant threat to the long-term
sustainability of the planet, and the systems of consumption and production which are responsible for
driving climate change also present challenges for the wider sustainability of society. SDG13 covers action
to mitigate climate change, as well as adaptation efforts, and the promotion of resilience and institutional
capacity to address issues relating to changing climates. Each of the targets under Goal 13 will be crucial to
creating a global community which seriously addresses climate change and its effects.(United
Nations[Goal13]2015)

Therefore, we need (SDG), as sustainable development is a comprehensive program with economic, social,
environmental and technological dimensions to confront climate change, reduce its effects, reduce the
degree of global warming and reduce harmful emissions of gases that threaten human life and living
organisms, a system that depends on local, national and international efforts, non-governmental
organizations, companies and individuals, and requires political will and appropriate funding to address the
damage that threatens peoples, countries and individuals in their lives and existence as well as living
organisms and physical assets on the globe. However, this cosmic-humanitarian project faces difficulties
and suffers from slow movement, the results shown by sustainable development indicators still do not
match the increasing effects of climate change, according to the 27th Conference of the Parties to the
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which took place in the Egyptian
coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh, which was concerned with presenting climate change, and those different
effects on human life on the surface of the earth. (United Nations [UN]2022)
Sustainable development represents the international project to confront and reduce the effects of various
climate changes, as a result of the goals, plans it contains and work of international conferences to
implement these plans. By looking at the efforts made by (SD) , it is possible to touch the reality of
sustainable development, its capabilities, results and factors affecting its results in the face of climate
change, and to look forward to this study being an additional step on the method to protecting climate
