Northern aqueduct planned shut: 20th June 2023

Repair to emergency burst at Point E on Northern Aqueduct bulk pipeline

This is to notify that the operational teams have experienced a burst at Point E area off the
Northern Aqueduct pipeline which requires urgent repairs.

Please note that this will affect supply to various reservoirs supplied off the Northern
Aqueduct bulk trunk main. The details of the planned shutdown are given below:

Start of shut for repairs 20th June 2023 - Tuesday 08h00am

End of shut for repairs 20th June 2023 – Tuesday 16:00pm

We will try our utmost to balance the system during this planned shutdown. However certain
High-level and low-level zones will be affected by no or intermittent water supply during the
period of the shut. We will also supply water during the peak period.

The areas that will be affected by this outage is the high-level water supply zones.
