My reflection in ESP 8

The first quarter was all about family, it explains how can we maintain a good relationship with our
family. It talks about the importance of having a good relationship with someone that is part of our
family. This topic made me realize that having a good relationship with your family does not only
mean talking inside the house, greeting each other, eating breakfast, lunch and dinner with everyone.
Having a good relationship with your family means that you can safely run into them whenever you
feel sad or you need someone to cheer you up. If you are having difficulties with something you can
always ask them without having the feeling of hesitation inside you. You will be there for each other
through the ups and downs. Having a good relationship with your family means that you will always
have each other’s back.

In the second quarter, we talked about “pakikipagkapwa” or socializing. This topic is also connected
to the previous lesson, though it is also about maintaining a good relationship with someone, this topic
does not only focuses to the relationship between you and your family. It refers to your relationships
with everyone around you. This lesson taught me that socializing is not only about entertaining
someone, socializing is about building connections and good relationship with someone who shares
the same interests with you.

The lesson in the third quarter was all about virtues, specifically, gratitude, kindness, respect, and
integrity. This topic taught me to be grateful and forever thankful for everything that I have, even
those smallest things that I own, it may be valuable or not I should still be grateful. Being entitled, or
thinking that everything revolves around us is something that we should stop. It taught me the
importance of kindness and how kindness changes everything around us. It made me realize that any
form of kindness is acceptable and sometimes it can mean so much to someone. We should respect
someone not based on their age. Respecting someone younger than you does not make you less of a
person, in fact doing these things are fun, enjoyable and can make your heart happy. Moreover, we
should be honest and always speak the truth. By being honest you can gain someone’s trust.

Currently, we are in the fourth quarter, which is the last quarter of the school year. We are talking
about sexuality, sexuality is a way for someone to express themselves sexually. The main focus of this
subject is teenage pregnancy, teenage pregnancy is now a global health issue. Being pregnant at a
young age affects your future and your child’s life as well. As a teenager, I know that teenage
pregnancy is something we should prevent, due to the fact that we teenagers are not yet at the right
age to get pregnant or to be a parent. In addition, having a child needs financial support, and teenagers
are not yet financially stable. Teenagers should still be in school learning, and preparing for adult life.
We can prevent teenage pregnancy by setting our boundaries and knowing our limitations.

I have learned a lot in ESP this school year, with the help of our teacher Sir Amor. Sir I thank you for
being a good teacher to us, you made me realize a lot. Our journey with you will be ending soon but
promise to always keep in mind everything that u taught us. I wish you the best sir!! May God
continue to bless you.
