I. TITLE: SCHOOL-BASED COMPETITION_WASTE MANAGEMENT

IV. PROPOSED VENUE: ROFULO M. LANDA HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS
V. RATIONALE:
The Supreme Student Government is the foremost co-curricular student
organization authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects, and
activities in school. These programs lay the groundwork for good governance,
volunteerism, unity, and cooperation by providing the students various venues where they
can improve their leadership knowledge, skills, and attitudes. More importantly, it helps
the Department of Education obtain its thrust of creating each Filipino student to become
better members of society in accordance with the ideals and principles of participation,
democracy, and good citizenship.
Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 49 s. 2011 entitled MANDATED PROGRAMS,
PROJECTS, AND ACTIVITIES OF THE SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT, the
SSG will conduct the school-based competition regarding school waste management.
1. This activity will help reinforce and maintain the cleanliness of the school, in
and out of the campus site, highlight the significance and advantages of waste
segregation, prioritize minimizing non-biodegradable wastes, and promote the core
value- MAKAKALIKASAN and reinforce discipline to each and every student of
RMLMHS.

VI. OBJECTIVES:

This Program aims to:


1. Help reinforce and maintain the cleanliness of the school.
2. Highlight the significance and advantages of waste segregation.
3. Prioritize minimizing non-biodegradable wastes.
4. Promote the core value- MAKAKALIKASAN and reinforce discipline to each and
every student of RMLMHS.

IX. SPECIFICATIONS OF THE PROGRAM


All classrooms and facilities are encouraged to join the competition.
This competition organized by the officers of SSLG and SSLG adviser/s aims to select
the most clean and disciplined classroom/section.
SSLG officers and adviser/s are in charge on judging the “Cleanest and Most
Disciplined Classroom”.

X. PROGRAM CRITERIA

Qualities that the cleanest and most disciplined classroom possesses Percentage (%)
The neatness of desks and chairs 20%

Punctuality and Attendance 20%

Availability and proper usage of garbage cans 15%

Cleanliness of the floors and minimal absence of bits of trash and dust 15%

Behaved and quiet 15%

Adhering to rules, participation, and organization: 15%

Total: 100%

The SSLG Adviser – Sir Mendandro Tazal and the SSLG President - John Timothy Celeste will be
privileged to receive any suggestions if there are any complications and complaints that needs
change about the program and program’s criteria.
