HOST 1: As the famous African proverb goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Educating a child is not just
a task for the teachers or the parents. It is a task of the whole institution and its stakeholders. And that
is what makes a great institution.

HOST 2: The collaborative effort of the teachers, parents, administration and alumni contributes much to the
mission of our beloved institution, SJCBI, that is “to transform lives and shape the future” of our dear
Josephian learners.

H1: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Magandang umaga, SJCBI Alumni!

H2: Naimbag a bigat, Josephians! Welcome to our Alumni Homecoming where SJCBI welcomes you back
home! I am Florely Jose.

H1: And I am Jechris Sabugal, your moderators for today’s event.

H2: Our celebration of the 73rd Founding Anniversary of SJCBI becomes more special today as we all gather to
celebrate family, friendship, service and love. Our theme, “Josephian Spirit, Leading Us Onward in
Our Mission of Transforming Lives,” clearly expresses our goal and our commitment as alumni of
SJCBI.

H1: Today’s Alumni Homecoming marks a new beginning and it will be forever etched in the history of our
beloved institution. Today’s event is a proof that indeed, once a Josephian, always a Josephian.
Without so much ado, may we all stand for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, to be
followed by the singing of SJCBI Hymn.

(Singing of the Philippine National Anthem and SJCBI Hymn)

H2: Moving on, we now listen to our very own College President, Rev. Fr. Gerard Ariston P. Perez, for his
Welcome Remarks. Let us give him a round of applause.
(Welcome Remarks)

H1: Thank you, Fr. Gerry! (Adlib) They say that past is past. But without looking back at the past, we can
never appreciate the present. So it’s good to look back once in a while at the things that made us who
we are now. Tayo na’t balikan ang mga espesyal at mahahalagang sandali sa ating buhay bilang mga
Josephians sa isang Pagbabalik-Tanaw.
